"The Show" that Doug E. Fresh did was pretty amazing from what I heard but I didn't go because in 1983 I was busy with my 'studies' (and I use that term loosely) in college in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Poughkeepsie, NY in the early 80s is the place and time where dmargalotti and his "studying buds" at college probably cruised the main drags a lot, and hung out with the girls from "The Facts of Life," including Tootie, Jo, Blair, Natalie and Ms. Garrett at the local hangouts, as well as the Molly Ringwald character, for her brief time in Poughkeepsie, NY.
The Molly Ringwald character, for her brief time in Poughkeepsie, NY, is not a role I can place just this minute, though I wonder if the student class was part of The Breakfast Club.
On track to meet our weekly goal for contributions here, we thank DToTheJ for moving the conversation along but if it's okay with you guys I would like to get back to talking about Molly Ringwald.
I spent about 6 and a 1/2 years in the Poughkeepsie area, 4 in college and 2 and 1/2 working for a local radio station and in all that time I never met Molly or anyone else from "The Facts of Life". Oh well, I'm sure they are just as disappointed as I am.
Molly Ringwald, whom I saw on a movie on This TV the other day, was only on "The Facts of Life" for one season, I think.
But still, an indelible mark remains. Well not really 'indelible mark' but more like 'remarkable memory from a bygone era,' at least until it gets replaced by something else like all the recent memories seem to be doing....
Goooooooooo Eastland!!!!!!!
Hello, Larry, we're glad you could stop by for an interview today because we know there are a lot of fans out there who are anxious to hear all your anecdotes about working with Moe, Curly, Shemp, Joe Besser and Joe DeRita.
Moe, Curly, Shemp, Joe Besser and Joe DeRita will be along shortly, just as soon as they get the dry ice machine up and running for the big dance party on the love boat, as it lazily and dreamily drifts along, lilting and lulling over the bounding main.
Lilting and lulling over the bounding main was a lot of fun and very relaxing too, until the main quit bounding and then we had to break out the oars and row 20 miles back to shore and now my arms are sore.
My arms are sore from all my retail work but now I get to rest them for a week because I'm on vacation.
Yup, I'm now on vacation right through next week. Requisition form has been submitted with my TPS Report. This time, however, I'm not heading south to check out the bikini chicks. I'm sticking close to home to get some stuff done so there's no need to hand out the Game Czar duties this time. I'll still be here which I'm sure makes you all very very happy.
I'm on vacation pretty rarely, and I really don't have a life that I need to vacate for any length of time, so day in and day out, I just try to keep the beats coming and live large.
A ground rule double means the runner has to hold at second base while the other team goes to look for the ball in the bushes but if it takes too long the game may be called on account of darkness.
If that happens the team leading at the time is declared the winner assuming more than 5 and 1/2 innings have been played.
