Fantastic word game

Back at the homestead where the air makes you choke, people don't know you and trust is a joke, the buffalo still roam there anyway and the skies are crisp and clear.

We evolved from using JUST one word clues to using phrases, proper names, pretty much anything. You can STILL use one word if ya wanna, but we wanted to make it more challenging so we evolved to phrases and such. TheDude didn't want to evolve. The rules that have been mainstays for some time are the bolding of clues and the one sentence thing.

The skies are crisp and clear over Hockinson, which is another quick afternoon mountain bike trip that's good for when you can't get to the Gorge or North Dakota, but you still need to esacpe the mayhem of the inner city for a few hours.

[size=8pt]http://wikimapia.org/#lat=45.7375508&lon=-122.4928012&z=15&l=0&m=b <--This is actually centered over "downtown" Hockinson at NE 158th Street; the "main drag" as it may be. The actual CDP boundary extends much farther to the north and the east than what you see at that zoom level (zoom out a couple steps to see a reasonable approximation.) And when the streets out there roll up, they really roll up.

Hockinson's about six or seven miles north of the Vancouver city limits, and from there it's another 15 miles or so down NE 162nd/164th Avenue to Cascade Park. I used to ride up there fairly regularly on the Mongoose when I was still living at the apartment in CP. You do the arithmetic.

You still need to escape the mayhem of the inner city for a few hours so why not drop off the kids at band camp for a few days while you and the significant other spend some leisure time in PowerWorld Town (PWT as some prefer).

Spend some leisure time in PowerWorld Town (PWT as some prefer), but if you need to stop by any convenience stores in the nearby towns, watch out for Old Dirty Bastard (or ODB as some prefer) when he's with his pretty young thing (or PYT as Michael Jackson preferred) on the down-low (or DL as some prefer), or while he's taking care of business (or TCoB as some prefer) selling PCP, LSD, or XTC (or various forms of illicit drugs, which some actually prefer to call by their scientific name rather than their initials, contrary to many parenthetical acronym-related expressions here .

Many parenthetical acronym-related expressions here might be frowned upon by ONJ - or Olivia Newton-John, as few prefer.

As few prefer Presidents' Day should be spent at your local public library reading all there is to read about the greatest of Americans who have ascended to our nations' highest office to lead us through often difficult times.

Or if you're like WMC to can spend the day at your local public library ogling the lovely young library interns.

Difficult times were had by many following the storms of recent months and I wouldn't be surprised if one of our crew wrote a book about it.

Hopefully with at least one chapter dedicated to TFWG. ;D

A long-running television series could have been made about the United States Olympic track team and even if the series lasted for only two or three episodes, it would still be "long-running" because it was about a track team.

My thought processes work in weird ways...but anyone could go for the obvious. :D

"Go all the way, baby, and don't hold anything in, because this is a long trip and I don't want to have to stop every ten minutes so you can use the restroom."

I told you---Weird! :D

We call it that because it's a room and we rest our hind quarters (if that's what we need to do) on the throne for a short period of time and sometimes people read in there as well so that's why, ok dmargalotti?

Just a reminder that I am out of the office this week but still keeping an eye on things. 8)

Very strange things are happening. I replied on Page 2596 and got that "25 new replies have been posted.." message that we got a few weeks back. Also, it's now saying that I have the first post on Page 2600. So I dunno what's going on so welcome to Page 2600 if that is indeed where we are. Darth has been largely absent from here the last few weeks, posting everywhere but here so I blame him. ;D

dmargalotti does not get to rest in the restroom, because he puts on the wrong record when he heads that way.

That way leads to a closet full of beautiful sweaters and this way leads to a closet full of sweaters that have all come unraveled, so obviously I'm going to choose the road less raveled.

(Apologies to psychiatrist/author M. Scott Peck.)

"The fun or func in dysfunctional" was the tile of a song performed by Rita Moreno and Skip Hinnant on a 1974 episode of The Electric Company and it was the song that taught me a lot about prefixes and word origins and helped to be as smart as I are today.

As smart as I are today were partly due to a certain magazine going by the subtitle "The Hacker Quarterly" which was started just over 30 years before we arrived at the page numbered after that certain magical audio phrequency that would reset N2-carrier trunks in a single blow and put the whole nation's fone system at your command.

[size=8pt]Your brieph fone history lesson (from "Introductory Phreaking 080"):

Read it, learn it.

That certain magical audio phrequency that would reset N2-carrier trunks in a single blow and put the whole nation's fone system at your command is not to be confused with that certain magical audio frequency that would reset N2-carrier trunks in a single blow and put the whole nation's phone system at your command.
