Fantastic word game

The Far Side is good but, when I was younger, I would always hit up The Family Circus as well as Brenda Starr, Gil Thorpe, Blondie, and Beetle Bailey.

Brenda Starr, Gil Thorpe, Blondie, and Beetle Bailey aren't worthy of cleaning Garfield's litter box.

And I'm with quad..."The Far Side" by Gary Larson is/was the best followed by "Calvin & Hobbes".

Marmaduke did indeed make a mess in Garfield's litter box, and, what's worse, the litter box was lined with a large sheet of paper on which was printed the post that I absent-mindedly began without including the bold-faced words of the preceding post, and even though it was a very clever sentence, I still failed to follow the rules and I'm willing to submit to whatever punishment the FWG Committee decides upon, but I'm asking everyone to be merciful and not let the punishment include push-ups, red ants, bagpipes or Yoko Ono recordings.

Yoko Ono recordings though they are in many instances very irritating screams, are not nearly so irritating as LARadioRewind's run on sentence, though I may have done that very thing by now myself.

"I may have done that very thing by now myself," Mister joeybabe acknowledged, referring to the practice of coming up with a compound sentence that uses a lot of commas, such as mentioning that Perry Como, after coming out of a coma, sang Comin' Through The Rye, which at one time was a common song.

Yeah, I can see how that would drive people crazy. :D

"Happy Birthday To You" is fun to sing except when we're at a big party and many of us don't even know the name of the honoree so we're forced to end the song with "Happy birthday, dear Mmmmm-Mmmmm, Happy birthday to you" and hope that the birthday person didn't hear us.

Be honest---that's happened to everyone here, right?

The birthday person didn't hear us when we asked him what he wished for, but that was good because he was always a freemouthed individual, and had he heard us, he would have responded with a soliloquy extolling his wish, which, of course, because of traditional wish stipulations, which preclude the divulgence of the wish to others, would have wrecked the possibility of the wish coming true.

We still love them anyway even if they do have a penchant for only coming up with exhausting run-on sentences for their contributions.

Because without their help, we wouldn't be where we are today. So we thank LARR for his participation. :D

Their contributions, though sometimes run-on, rambling, and changing trajectory at the drop of a punctuation mark (and mine too, not picking on anyone here :D ), would benefit from more references to Olivia Newton-John and Megan McCormick.

More references to Olivia Newton-John and Megan McCormick might convince one or the other or both to make special guest appearances here at The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as I'm sure they'd both prefer).

Special guest appearances here at The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as I'm sure they'd both prefer) of both Olivia Newton-John and Megan McCormick are a sweet thing indeed, but I wouldn't be opposed to Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr making their way through an Octipus' Garden to get here as well!

I wouldn't be opposed to Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr making their way through an Octipus' Garden to get here as well is a sacrilegious thing to say, joey, because we consider The Lovely Olivia (TLO as everyone prefers) and The Lovely Megan (TLM as dmargalotti prefers) our mascots and future special guests and we certainly don't want anything to jeopardize that such as inviting two old guys in their places.

Inviting two old guys in their places to The Fantastic Word Game is something I'd not prefer to do in lieu of inviting the two aforementioned lovely ladies. 8)

The two aforementioned lovely ladies as lovely and sweet as they are, are now aging somewhat, so we should not expect a 70's version of them, if they should decide to make an appearence here.
