Fantastic word game

The library atrium is decorated by the lovely young library interns and the various displays reflect the changing seasons so if you stop by now, you will see a tribute to summer.

A tribute to summer reflects the bright cheerfulness, sunshine, sand castles and features homemade ice cream with an arrow pointing to the lounge, shrewd little bidness gals that they are.

Shrewd little bidness gals that they are know that they can sell a lot of lemonade if they wear bikinis and set up their little ole lemonade stand down the road at the local business park.

The local business park boasts a business school which teaches everything one needs to know about business, including appropriate attire for the workplace.

Performed is a good way for a musical number to be done and is a much better method than doing it deformed, unless you're part of a circus sideshow.

Ozzie Nelson and his family entertained this country for years, until the 60's and the hippies and the yippies made the Nelson family look out of touch with reality.

The Twilight Zone, in its original '60s run, was filmed in greyscale (black-and-white); then in color after its revivals in the '80s and the '00s.

Not sure if joeybabe's contribution is "legal" here at the Fantastic Word Game. One is supposed to use the bold *word* at the end of the previous post and modifying the clue with extra letters creates a new word. I'll let our friendly neighborhood Game Czar make the final judgement on that one 8)

The '00s will probably be remembered as the time when TV and movie writers finally ran out of original ideas.

I believe Scan is right about Joey's clue. I remember reading something in the official handbook about modifications of words being prohibited when the word appears as part of a beginning or ending clue which is clearly noted with bold type. I'm sure we will get an official ruling from WMC later. However just for the record, even though I thought an infraction might have occurred I decided it was in the best interest of the game and all parties involved to proceed without interruption.

Original ideas are really nothing original, having their origination in their country of origin which is usually in that country called the imagination.

Except maybe for some what has no imagination besides thievin' originality.

That country called the imagination is a country that exists in each person's mind, and I know several people whose country of imagination should have a police force to keep it from getting totally out of control.

I started to bold just the word "control" but I figured somebody would make a Maxwell Smart reference out of it.:D

Getting totally out of control following joey's slight infraction would not have served our purpose so I'm happy to see that it was noted and we continued on our merry way.

Joey, if you read your TFWG Handbook, Chapter 5, Regulation 6.3b, it states that clues should not be altered in any way. In other words, OZ should have been left as OZ and it should not have been changed to part of a new word (namely, Ozzie). Now, granted, when I post the rules for our newbies, I don't specifically state that clues cannot be altered but I do state that "Your beginning clue is the bolded ending clue from the previous contribution" or something to that effect. Since you are still new, and because we like you alot, we shall let the infraction slide this time. However, if it happens again, it will warrant a timeout and/or a demerit and/or a public flogging and nobody wants to see that. It scares the little band campers. I would suggest that you read (or re-read) your Handbook. I might quiz you later this week. ;)

As for the rest of you, job well done on continuing the game without interruption. I have a feeling that Kenny, had he shown his face today, probably would have interrupted the game and pulled TheDude Rule out and started a new clue altogether, something we never like to see. That scares the kiddies too. ;D

We continued on our merry way knowing that a person's name can be Oz or Ozzie, therefore not being enough of a difference

A stronger example of a difference that should not be allowed might be if the word were "be" and someone decided to start their sentence like this:
"Being that..." but that's just my opinion
