Fantastic word game

Outcome of the latest band campers vs. PowerWorld staff softball game is, once again, a tie as it always is because everyone is a winner.

Good to see quadraphonic legging out a triple. Too bad he had to delay the game for 20 minutes to catch his breath. ;D

Everyone is a winner in their own way but the truth is that some of us are just better at winning than others.

Yeah, that was a nice play by quadraphonic. For a moment, I thought that ball would clear the fence. He might have had an in-the-park home run if he didn't stand there at the plate watching the ball to see if it was going to go out. Oh well, it was still a nice shot. And by the way WMC, I know you weren't really throwing at my head when you knocked me down with that high and in fastball of yours, were you? It's probably a good thing Silkie was able to step in there before things got out of hand. Oh and to LA and scan, great job turning that double play in the 8th to keep the game tied!

Others might not have appreciated my at-the-plate celebration when that ball left my bat, and dmargalotti I'm sorry that WMC took it out on you in the next at-bat, but fellas and ladies, that hit was the best hit of my life.

I had to see where it went. It hurt my hands coming off the bat, like an electric shock.

The best hit of my life was that time I hit TheDude on his shoulder.

Which is probably the real reason he doesn't come around here anymore. He almost made one of his legendary poor decisions and nearly charged the mound but he thought better of it. That would have ranked right up there with the time he asked the then-Radio-Info moderators to shut down this whole thread because he didn't like that we changed the rules.

dm, the fastball merely got away from me. If I'm gonna bean you, it's not gonna be during a band camper/staff game. Maybe during a staff/staff game but not one with the kiddies around. It was nice having Miss Silkie 'tween us, though, wasn't it? That Sweetie Pie is one lucky guy! ;D

I hit TheDude on his shoulder and he exclaimed, "Owww, that hurt, and would you please quit clowning around and go out to the mound and throw the fershlugginer baseball"?

I also hit him with a baseball but he didn't charge the mound because, as he explained, he didn't have much money left in his charge account.

(It's pretty sad when my asides are more clever than my FWG posts!)

That's what it's all about is how the Hokey Pokey song concluded, but I fail to see the excitement about putting "your right foot in" and "your right foot out" and turning it "all around", mainly because every time I do those things, someone thinks I'm having a seizure and asks if I want him to call 911.

Call 911 because I was just at the library visiting the lovely interns and now I'm hyperventilating.

Anybody got a paperbag?

Now I'm hyperventilating too, but really that's an exaggeration, because I had a car accident a couple hours ago, and thanks be to God I nor the other people got really hurt, so I was never actually out of breath, but in hindsight right now, it would be nice if the people in the other car would admit which one of them was driving, instead of all lying and claiming that the driver jumped out and fled the scene.

The scene of an accident can be messy and disconcerting but, if none of the parties involved were seriously injured, then that is great news and you will likely be able to breathe a big sigh of relief.

Relief pitcher Rollie Fingers had an award named after him, which is one career highlight we should all aspire to every day.

Did not want to end that contribution with a preposition! Gotta keep the grammar, or at least the straining toward thereof, clean.

We should all aspire to every day be the best that we can be because I always aspire to be the best Game Czar I can be and I know that quad aspires to be the best TPS Report guy that he can be.

quad, please make sure you follow all PowerWorld medical rules and regulations and get yourself checked out at PowerWorld Medical Center as soon as possible even if you feel you are perfectly fine. You never know if something could come up a day or two from now. Please get the medical form signed by your primary and sent to me early next week. Disciplinary action and severe timeouts could occur if you don't follow these procedures.

And, if you need another car in the interim, please see Murray down at PowerWorld Auto Exchange. Thank you
.

He can be a great host, but Ian from "Globe Trekker" is decidedly less of a great host than Megan McCormick.

You know me, Czar. I follow the rules succinctly, grossly, and hydroponically.

Trekking routes for your new vehicle can be found online at several different travel websites, and all you have to do is enter your starting point and then click on the tab that says "Start Trek."

How do I keep coming up with these bad puns? Is it a gift...or a curse? On second thought, forget I asked that question!

The tab that says "Start Trek" will, once pressed, will provide you with some options for your journey and, as long as you follow the rules of the road, you will live long and prosper.

See what I did there?

You will live long and prosper if you don't drink and drive and if you can manage to avoid being run over by your friends who do drink and drive.

Mister WMC, I think that instead of "prosperous" you're trying to be "preposterous." :D

Drink and drive in PowerWorld Town (PWT as most prefer) and you will be banished from it and all band camp locations for the rest of your natural life and beyond.

"The rest of your natural life and beyond" is a phrase similar to Buzz Lightyear's "To infinty and beyond" execpt that "Infinity" (with an "i" replacing the "y") became the name of a car but there has never been a car called "The Rest Of Your Natural Life."

It's much too hot here for me to try to come up with something better. ;)
