A couple of years back I looked out the back window of my apartment, and much to my astonishment I saw the lady across the way looking out of her back window from her apartment; I was so ashamed.
Her expensive clock and clock repair shop had to close because in the 70s everyone went for those new-fangled electronic watches, and there was no longer a market that supported watches and watch repairing with the classical styling and flair she and her master craftsmen put into it.
The classical styling and flair she and her master craftsmen put into it were topped only by the workmanship that went into the detail in the surprise inside a Faberge egg from The Hermitage.
Every other Monday showed up for the family reunion of former A's/Cubs/Dodgers center fielder Rick Monday and he's hopeful that the ones who didn't show up will be able to attend the nextfamily reunion.
Cute, eh? And Rick Monday has been my hero ever since 1976 when he stopped some protesters from burning a flag on the field at Dodger Stadium: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZzeEaBHUBM
Normal business hours are when I'm almost always guaranteed to be here, but I spend a lot of my free time in the office doing things like trying to get ahead on next week's TPS Reports, stockpiling Nabs, and tying up loose ends.
176th Street and Lexington Avenue is way farther out of The City than I want to travel, unless there's a gonzo concert, because I like my travel circles like I write my contributions to the FWG: tight.
Tight lipped is how I will remain after noticing that quad forgot to include the word "of" when he began his contribution with joey's ending clue but since this is my first early morning contribution of the day, I think it's best to just play on and begin what will hopefully be a very productive day.
A very productive day of posting will hopefully bring us 3 or 4 pages of contributions by the time I get home from work tonight.
Of course, if I could contribute during the day, I would, but I don't have access to a computer and I don't have a smartphone or anything. If I did have those things, I'd probably never get anything done. Such a conundrum for your Game Czar.
Highs around 100 today here in easter and central New England. Stay cool and hydrated, band campers!
By the time I get home from work tonight we will have seen temperatures near the 100 degree mark again here too but thankfully I'm told by our meteorologist that cooler, less humid weather is on the way.
So much has been made about how hot it is is most parts of the country this week and while it may be a tad uncomfortable, I'd rather have a hot summer than a bitterly cold winter.
Every day of the year I wake up in the morning ready to say howdy to another day, and yet, in the back of my mind, I thank capitalism for the things I treasure most, the gas station across the street from my apartment, the Yoo-Hoo machine, NABS, and more than anything, 11 cent poocycles, which give me the strength to see the day through.
