Fantastic word game

/bA wise guy/b is definitely what I would call LARR but that's a lot better than some of the other things /bpeople have called him/b .

Maybe I'm missing something. Is the /b or b also supposed to be in quotes? What am I doing wrong?

By the way, the site shows this was posted today at 12:43 am. And it's actually, for me, 8:43pm (EST), 8 hours later. I think there's something on the Ask RD board about the time issue.

People have called him and left messages but what Mister WMC really wants is not a message but rather a massage.

For boldface, you have to use brackets; on most keyboards, they're on the same keys as the parentheses. A will start the boldface and a "/b" inside brackets will end it.

A massage sounds good right about now because all of this terrific new Radio Discussions goodness is making my head explode.

Yayyyyyyy it worked. Now I gotta figure out italics too? Geez :D

All of this terrific new Radio Discussions goodness is making my head explode and still can't figure out where the new replies to your posts button is.

I'm having to go to the board list, then go to off the air, then to TFWG, and click the last page number.
For italic, use "i" instead of "b".

The new replies to your posts button is nowhere to be found as far as I can see and I've been trying to find some variation of it on the homepage using the various newfangled links.

Are we there yet? I'm so dizzy from the changes, I couldn't even find my way down to Illusions last night for Dave & Kenny's show. And, for that matter, neither Dave, nor quad, nor Miss Silkie have found their way here this weekend.

The various newfangled links are making the game of miniature golf much more fun, and I really love some of the updated features, such as the six-foot-tall iPads and the Predator spy planes that have replaced the old-fashioned clowns and windmills.

I shot a 68. And then I moved on to the second hole. :D

Clowns and windmills on the miniature golf course are easier obstructions than finding my way around the new Radio Discussions.

It's just too busy now. Too much to decipher. They are going, I think, for the smartphone user rather than the plain old laptop/desktop user like myself. This will most definitely cut into our progress.

The new Radio Discussions threads never include the fun things I enjoyed when I was a child, such as my crystal radio receiver, my stereopticon, and my Victrola which played 78-rpm records and wax cylinder recordings.

I just know WMC will think I'm really that old!

Recordings of some of our earliest band camp celebrity visits, available in the library archives, include Bob Hope, George Burns, and even The Three Stooges although that one didn't go over very well with the moms and dads.

The moms and dads did not appreciate the Three Stooges' slapstick antics at Band Camp, although one woman who was hit in the face with a custard pie did ask Miss Silkie about getting the recipe.

Moe threatened to tear WMC's tonsils out but I knew he didn't really mean it. :D

The recipe for Miss Silkie's custard pie is such a closely guarded secret that even I don't know what it is.

I tried my best at getting it from the lovely library interns but they weren't giving it up, so to speak.

I don't know what it is about my password, but this place did not like the one I wrote down for a couple of days, but it's all right because I'm back in here now with a reset password, and the unflinching appreciation for Megan McCormick and Olivia Newton-John I'm sure we all share.

The unflinching appreciation for Megan McCormick and Olivia Newton-John I'm sure we all share is the opposite of how I'm feeling about these unnecessary changes made to the forum.

Sorry, don't like these changes at all! The old site looked better and loaded faster. This new layout loads more slowly. Also, this site loads terribly on my mobile phone, hence my absence the last couple of days. So, unless I have access to a computer, I won't be posting until the mobile site issues are addressed.

Changes made to the forum is something I don't like right now, because there is no link to show us the most recent posts we made on any Radio Discussions boards.

I bookmarked the boards and the threads that I use mostly, and that does help.

On any Radio Discussions boards you could find some very useful information.

OK, this is cool! I can use my handle the way I really want to now (scanman -the 1). 8)

A learning curve is a head for much of the country because apparently the overhaul to this site doesn't include a warning that another post was made while you were typing your contribution so therefore we run the risk of missing the most recent clue but in light of the changes to the site and the current confusion over its functionality, no one can blame quad for missing my first early morning contribution of the day.

Much of the country will have a learning curve as we all learn to navigate through the newest nooks and crannies here at RD and TFWG.

quad posted just have dm and used the same clue. I'm guessing we don't have a system right now that tells us someone else has posted while we were posting. I used both ending clues within my new clue. As for finding my most recent posts, I am clicking on My Profile at the top of the page which brings up my last posts; I click on this thread; then I click on the most recent page. Good enough for now I guess. Happy Monday everyone.

Ohhhhh nooooooooooo!

No one can blame quad for missing my first early morning contribution of the day so we shall do our best to march onward through all of the obstacles.
