Fantastic word game

Watching, especially great shows like "Globe Trekker" with Megan McCormick or an Olivia Newton-John video will be tough to do this weekend because I'm going to be very busy with move in day and the opening weekend of band camp but I'm sure Megan and Olivia would understand.

Megan and Olivia would understand if I switched my affection to Taylor Swift and Lady GaGa but I'm afraid that if I go gaga over anyone else, Megan and Olivia would be swift to express their displeasure.

See what I did there?

Displeasure from those inferior competing band camps regarding our continued success is nothing new which is why, at this point, we pretty much ignore them and so does everyone else.

Everyone else likes Elsie the Cow and golfer Ernie Els and military analyst Daniel Ellsburg and Red Sox centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury and former Yankees catcher Elston Howard but I don't want to be like everyone else, so I like Zac Efron, Zane Lowe, Zooey Deschanel and Jay-Z.

Does anyone want to go to Chicago and ride the els with me?

Zac Efron, Zane Lowe, Zooey Deschanel and Jay-Z are all alumni of the PowerWorld Band Camp Educational Program (PWBCEP as most prefer).

The PowerWorld Band Camp Educational Program (PWBCEP as most prefer) can also claim Zach Braff, Zac Brown, Zach Galifanakis, Zachary Quinto, and Zoe Saldana as honorary alumni, but that's mostly because they contribute hundreds of thousands of dollars per year because it looks good on their resume, not because they took the classes.

A 3-day weekend is something I am most definitely enjoying by spending some free time with the kids and parents on our annual Fall Session Labor Day Move In Weekend (FSLDMIW as most prefer).

It was good to see you outside one of the dorms this morning. dm was doing a special live radio simulcast across the PowerWorld Radio Network, interviewing some of the band camp firsttimers as they moved in. Good stuff. Saw Miss Silkie moving amongst the crowds handing out comfort food to the masses with the help of some of the lovely young library interns. Caught LARR as he was rushing down to the pond to act as a lifeguard. I have my doubts on that one. Saw scanman helping out at the registration table. Saw joey doing something he didn't even volunteer for which was cleaning out the bathrooms in the main band camp office. And even Kenny was around welcoming people which I found amazing since he needs to be down at Illusions in a few hours to prepare for tonight's Dave & Kenny's 80s Rockfest. Thanks for helping out Kenny!

Our annual Fall Session Labor Day Move In Weekend (FSLDMIW as most prefer) has started out extremely well with no bad stuff happening and every volunteer coming through as they promised.

I see a lot of the families meandering around campus before dinner. A lot of the moms and dads leave later on so let's be around and available for those campers experiencing separation anxiety.

As they promised, all the band camp volunteers did an excellent job of toting in all the boxes of bedding, boxes of food, boxes of flashlights and lanterns, boxes of first-aid supplies and boxes of musical instruments, along with a big box to put all the other boxes in after they've been emptied.

I don't mind serving as a lifeguard but when I hear someone scream I don't know if he's drowning or if he just got a look at my white legs.

Proper positions within the band camp marching band will be determined once we figure out who can do what and who can play what.

We've got the PowerWorld Radio Network cranked in the band camp auditorium where the kids are enjoying some fun activities while they listen to Dave & Kenny play those 80s from Illusions. Maybe, someday, later in the semester, we'll take the kids on a field trip to Illusions.

Who can do what and who can play what is what you-know-who is wondering, and he's been giving the proverbial "what for" to all of us who don't know what he's talking about and can't refer him to someone who might be able to tell him what he wants to know.

And why doesn't "what" rhyme with "hat"? It should.

What he wants to know is why no one has bothered posting so far on this Sunday morning and now early afternoon.

More band campers moving in since this morning. Good to see all the PowerWorld volunteers around camp today. Great brunch a bit earlier, thanks to Miss Silkie and her entire staff for that.
