Fantastic word game

Every single day we try to do a good deed, to make somebody smile or to put a song in somebody's heart along the way.

Along the way to band camp, I heard soft whimpering and it took me a while to locate the source of the sound, and I must say that I was quite dismayed to see that Mister WMC had managed to get his head stuck in a tuba.

Once I got the tuba off his head, I wisely suggested he switch to kazoo or triangle.

A tuba was not my initial choice of instrument but it was the only thing available at the time and, obviously, I should have waited until something else became available.

Boy, LARR, thanks a lot!! Good thing you came along when you did. I wasn't whistling a very happy tune , was I!

Something else became available so I'm going to take advantage of it as soon as I provide today's Early Morning Contribution which I will dedicate to dmargalotti, our former Director of Early Morning Contributions.

dmargalotti, our former Director of Early Morning Contributions was sitting by the side of the road with some of the little campers from the fun department, eating lemons, when the brass section came along, which was how WMC's head got caught in the tuba in the first place, so we have dug around in the library and found numerous occasions upon which some from other camps have stolen and repeatedly played a green tambourine while they paraded around and around in circles.

While they paraded around and around in circles, some of the dancers at the PowerWorld annual square dance were starting to realize that they were moving in the wrong geometric shape.

Since I'm now in charge of Factoids, I offer the following one, which is appropriate for this day: New Year's Day used to be celebrated on April 1. In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII decreed the adoption of the Gregorian calendar---named after himself, of course---and New Year's Day was moved to January 1. Those who continued to celebrate on April 1 were ridiculed and referred to as "April fools." That's where the April Fools Day tradition began.

Shape up or ship out was the message from the Portland Mayor to cats as he banned them and threw them all in jail - at least that was the story until I learned it was one of those New Year's pranks, so I went and bailed out darth's library cat.

darth's library cat, I found out, is named Bruce so I'm wondering if all of these stories he has told us over time regarding Bruce and Robin really refer to his cat or if there really is a techie named Bruce.

A silly goose must have awakened dmargalotti and reminded him that we still exist because there he is, in living color, providing an LARR-type contribution.

Welcome, Mr. IDBC, so nice to see you today. :)

Keep the bean keen by spending some green so you can preen and be seen when you're on the scene.

I used to feel useless and unimportant...but now I can see that I've been able to be a bad influence on dmargalotti. That's something! :)

On the scene every Saturday night at Illusions, Kenny (and Dave when he shows up) plays the greatest rock hits of the 80s and occasionally manages to sneak in a little bit of Olivia.

Well done, LARR, well done. :D

A little bit of Olivia is always great to play at our Rockfest at Illusions, because her music is always considered the music that makes you feel good.

The music that makes you feel good was blasting from my car stereo yesterday as I was finally able to put on my sunglasses and drive home with the sunroof open and the windows down.

With the sunroof open and the windows down and the wind blowing through Mrs. dmargalotti's hair, dmargalotti got the topless driving season started.

Still a little way to go here but it'll be soon.

The topless driving season started when some of us blew our tops laughing over the upcoming endless possibilities of the explanation about "the science is in" with the sudden discovery that "water on the moon and earth may have a common origin".[/b]

Do tell

Water on the moon and earth may have a common origin but the president of our local Department of Water & Power is upset because the moon is unhabited and they can't force anyone to pay for moon water the way they force us to pay for earth water.

"We have to raise your rates again...but please be assured that it's not because all our employees earn $250,000 a year and can retire with a 100% pension at age 50. No, no, that has nothing to do with it. Honest."

Earth water is sold each and every Saturday night during Dave & Kenny's 80s Rockfest at Illusions and we do some bigtime business with that venture which should continue as long as people don't figure out that all we do is fill some bottles from the bubbler before each show.

Shhhh! Don't tell anyone.

Before each show at band camp, The Lovely Olivia (TLO as most prefer) comes up to the corner office for a chat with me and to relax for a bit.
