Security cameras caught the lovely young library interns sneaking an extra muffin or two after closing time but there won't be any disclipinary action because Miss Silkie is always happy when the interns mooch the muffins.

She'd be more offended if they didn't mooch them.

The country charts always include several songs about men cheating on their wives, and that is somewhat ironic considering how many country singers have cheated on their wives.

One has to wonder why all those denominations call themselves Orthodox, seeing as how they celebrate Christmas on such an unorthodox date.

An unorthodox date opened the front door and was wearing a yellow vinyl raincoat and a large bib and I thought she was crazy until we arrived at our destination and she explained that she had thought I said I was taking her to a nosh pit when I had actually said "mosh pit."

mosh pit dancing was not a part of life at Woodstock as far as I know, since it involves pushing and shoving to punk rock and other somewhat more violent types of music, though they did have being live on stage in common with Woodstock.

Woodstock tried to make a snowman that looked like Snoopy but it was a very tiny snowman and when he added a lump of coal to look like Snoopy's nose, the little snowman fell over and Woodstock uttered some sounds that we would never have expected to hear from a bird.

Including publishing a newspaper or three, The McClatchy Media Company also owned a few radio and TV stations.

McClatchy sold their broadcast facilities several years ago, and is only in the newspaper business now.

The missing post meant that every time the vultures perched on the telephone wire, it sagged almost to the ground.

Many of you know that I write the daily radio history features for LARadio.com.A few years ago I wrote about the first Christmas broadcast. It took place at 9 pm Christmas Eve in 1906. Ronald Fessenden, broadcasting to shipboard wireless radio operators from a transmitter in Brant Rock, Massachusetts, read from the 2nd chapter of Luke and then played O Holy Night on the violin. Fessenden wished everyone a merry Christmas and urged the radio operators to write to him and let him know how clear the reception was. His broadcast was picked up by ships as far away in Norfolk, Virginia. A few modern-day researchers think that the broadcast was not on Christmas Eve but took place several days earlier. I say it was Christmas Eve. So there!

To the ground beef, add bread crumbs, beaten egg(s), finely chopped red and green peppers, and whatever seasonings you like; mix well and pour into a loaf pan, then bake thoroughly for an excellent meat loaf.

Seriously, folks, I just reprimanded LARR back on the 1st of the month for that very thing. We have 3 whole rules (One sentence and one sentence only; bolding beginning and ending clues; dialogue in italics but don't dialogue without also playing). Is it really that difficult to follow them?? You people seriously want to see my head explode, I know you do. I tell ya, ever since quad left and dmargalotti has pretty much now disappeared, this place is slowing going to heck and worse. Apparently, you kids today can't appreciate what we older folks brung ya.

Contributing to the game was difficult for Jeff to do, considering that he was only the water boy and sat on the bench during every game, but he finally hit upon the idea of giving the players water via a Super Soaker squirt gun while they were on the field.

And Jeff's Super Soaker covers considerably more yardage than Johnny Manziel did in the Browns' 30-0 loss to the Bengals.
