Fantastic word game

All by myself in the office earlier today, I could actually smell the wonderful aromas coming from Miss Silkie's place just around the corner.

Couple more hours of show to go down here at Illusions with Kenny and myself. Good to see Miss Silkie and the lovely young library interns tearing up the dance floor while LARR and JeffM were over in a corner trying to outpun each other. Even CTListener dropped by to shake his groove thang for a short while. Sadly, Neither MarcB nor his mom nor Cockroach showed up. However, the Walmart Cart Jockey Club did show up but left rather quickly when they realized there weren't any carts to shag.

Just around the corner at the Old Town Sports Bar the Seahawks fans went wild as their team came back, down 15 points to the Packers, in the last three minutes to eventually win in overtime.

Now It's time for New England and Indianapolis.
Wild night last night at Illusions as WMC and I had the crowd rockin' and dancin' and the mechanical bull was at full speed.

To eventually win in overtime, I had to make three consecutive baskets, and I really wish my mother had sent me to a different summer camp, one that didn't have silly basket-weaving contests.

Mrs. LARR is a big fan of the Mariners and the Seahawks. I nearly went deaf today from all the yelling and cheering that she did while watching the Seattle-Green Bay game! :)

Contests to try to beat either LARR or Jeff in punnetry have been tried a couple of times but nobody can beat them, leaving the little band campers unhappy, so we put a stop to the contests and started the punnetry classes.

The punnetry classes, more accurately the punnery classes are really part of the English tutorials, which describe puns, which in excess may diminish class size

Class size, I finally realized, is what Mrs. Sheboygan, the school teacher who lives next door, was talking about, but she didn't enunciate clearly and I initially thought she had said that budget cuts meant she would be getting bigger glass eyes.

Fun Fact: What most people call "glass eyes" are actually made of acrylic or cryolite, not glass.

Collectors of glass eyes might attempt to console you that they are keeping an eye out for you.

True story: Patient with a glass eye at the optometrist's office in fact said that to him many moons ago.

You always hurt the one you love, as the old saying goes, so I imagine that a masochist might be in love with himself.

Men, what should you do if a woman rolls her eyes at you? Roll them back to her. :)

Himself is a most awkward pronoun with which to begin to construct a sentence unless it surfaces elsewhere as he himself surely did just like we knew he would, though it was most likely not he who was apparently milling about aimlessly through the empty band camp seeking the assistance from anyone with a friendly face.

A friendly face can still be a scary sight if it is not attached to a body.

See? I can write a ahort sentence occasionally.

High regard for our efforts tends to keep our FWG (as everyone else prefers) officers and board of directors in good standing all over the world, especially everyone who serves as International Director of Band Camp (IDBC), and I know that if I got the title wrong, WMC will clarify that for us.

He also knows that I only use TFWG when he is sick and the interns are feeding him Jello, chicken soup and pity.

WMC will clarify that for us if we ever have a question about sporting events because, after all, WMC is the highest-rated sports station in Memphis.

WMC went on the air in 1923. The call letters stood for the station's owner, the Memphis Commercial Appeal. WMC Radio is not to be confused with our own Mister WMC, who, as far as I know, was not named after a newspaper.

Memphis is a location I've never been to and a place I probably won't ever get to unless it has a nice beach which it probably doesn't but I'm not going to do any research to find out so maybe LARR can give us just a couple of quick fun or interesting factoids about the city.

Yeah, I guess it does make sense for us to play lots of 80s stuff here at Illusions with Kenny and myself since Kenny is known for playing 80s rock.

Good to see lots of PowerWorld associates down here tonight.

"Yeah, I guess it does," replied Louie, the cook at the Chew 'N' Chat Café, after I pointed out that the Blue Plate Special should be served on a blue plate and not on one of those red Melmac plates which Louie has been using since 1959.

Mister WMC, the city of Memphis, Tennessee, was founded in 1819 by Judge John Overton, former Army brigadier general James Winchester...and Andrew Jackson, who, ten years later, would become President of the United States. Since 1928, Jackson has been pictured on the $20 bill, which is odd considering he was a staunch opponent of paper money. So why is he on the $20 bill? Check out http://www.history.com/topics/us-presidents/andrew-jackson/videos/jackson-and-the-20-bill

Playing '80s rock should have kept Mister WMC busy enough that he wouldn't have been typing a sentence at the same time I was typing a sentence, but now that he posted his sentence before I posted mine, I have to respond with another post in response to his post which made my previous post out of order, and, as everyone can see, I have done so, post-haste.

Post-haste is better than no haste at all.

I just hate it when I have no haste. I wonder what the origin of 'haste' is, LARR, hmmm?? And, perhaps, when you are providing commentary and factoids, you should go ahead and post your game contribution and then go back and edit in your commentary and factoids so that your contribution doesn't doesn't affect the smooth transition of clues. ;)
