Fantastic word game

'90s music has been added here and there to Kenny and WMC's 80s Rockfest which is about to get started in an hour or so at Illusions.

Mechanical bull, lots of bottled water, and a possible appearance by MarcB and Cockroach all included in the low low cover charge.

At Illusions, we have a mechanical bull but we do not have a mechanical cow because we don't want to wind up with a large herd of mechanical calves.

Hey, such a thing could happen. Look at the Transformers movies!

Calves, back, arms and shoulders are aching after yet another round of digging out of several more inches of snow and there's still another foot-plus to come over the next 24 to 36 hours.

But it sure is nice that the lovely young library interns join the plow drivers to deliver hot chocolate or coffee around town.

Over the next 24 to 36 hours there will be a lengthy period of darkness known as "nighttime" and it will be followed by a lengthy period of light known as "daytime" and I wish we had sunshine at night when we could use the light instead of during the daytime when it's already light.

And Christmas should be in June when the stores aren't crowded, instead of in December when all the shoppers are out.

Jelly beans have their own national day that is very close to Easter.

What I don't get is photographs of the desert at Middle Lake Wolverine. Just sayin'.

Easter may be the next date the Game Czar finds a means of communication once some 7 feet of snow melts.

See? I know how to hold the fort down.

Once some 7 feet of snow melts, the Game Czar will finally be able to retrieve the lawnmower that he left sitting in the front yard last October and he will have at least four months to scrape the rust off before he needs to use the mower again.

Here in southern California, we have no snow...and, because of the drought, we have no lawns either.

Again, I have returned to my corner office after digging out the homestead while we await yet more snow on Thursday and probably more again over the weekend.

Thanks, Miss Silkie, nice job. You may take the afternoon off. ;)

The weekend promises to have the kiddies indoors for indoor activities, given a forecast wind chill of 7 or 8 degrees Fahrenheit.

Looks like a few baking projects will be in the works.

A forecast wind chill of 7 or 8 degrees Fahrenheit may be the forecast for New England, but here in Central CA it's going to be sunny with a high of 70 Degrees Fahrenheit.

Happy Birthday to our Game Czar!!!

Sunny with a high of 70 Degrees Fahrenheit is the weather forecast for central California, and that is not just for today but rather for the entire month of February.

Down here, it's warm and windy today and temperatures will be in the 80s for the rest of the week. Why can't central California and southern California get any rain? Why does northern California have to hog it all?

The entire month of February is full of important commemorations, like Groundhog Day, Abraham Lincoln's birthday, Valentine's Day and George Washington's Birthday, to name the few that we have before we start making up more holidays.

Before we start making up more holidays, let's add my birthday to that list, why don't we.

Kenny, thank you very much! Miss Silkie, thanks to you and the lovely young library interns for the delicious cake delivered to me this afternoon. Yummy!! The rest of you, three demerits for not wishing me a happy birthday. LARR, perhaps you could come up with 1 or 2 fun and/or interesting factoids about ME! ;)

Happy birthday, WMC, to you I lift my cup, but you want facts about yourself and I would have to make them up.

That one is meant to be sung, of course. I know very little about anyone here...except that a lot of you live where there's heavy snow and Sweetie Pie is a male. Here is a Fun Factoid about snow: Surface temperature does not have to be 32° or below for snow to fall. Snow can fall when the temperature is in the upper 30s and 40s as long as the temperature in the clouds where the snow is forming is 32° or below.
