Fantastic word game

Soooooo tall is The Lovely Olivia (TLO as I prefer) in her high heels that I have to stand on my tiptoes to kiss her.

Turn in your winning lottery ticket and then figure out what the state and the federal government will take in taxes and, if you're fortunate, you will have enough money left to buy another lottery ticket.

Any of you who think that is funny are obviously not residents of California!

Another lottery ticket is not the best remedy for a gambling addiction.

A guy I grew up with (that is, assuming I ever really grew up...) won $10,000 on a lottery ticket and blew the whole ten grand on more lottery tickets, certain he was going to make that multi-million-buck score. I am not making this up, even though I wish I were.

Addiction to the Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as Miss Silkie and the lovely young library interns know I prefer) is a healthy way to work on your writing skills.

Your writing skills may be put to the test sometime when we need to out-compete those other band camps and have to use longhand, also known as cursive handwriting.

Longhand, also known as cursive handwriting, was taught to us in elementary school by teachers who insisted that a capital Q should resemble the number 2, and I have never seen anyone other than elementary school teachers make a Q that way.

And don't forget the capital F that was just a capital T with one extra line!

That way-out character Pee-wee Herman will be back in a new movie soon.

I made a living for some years doing cursive handwriting (including Q's that look like 2's) working in a factory that turned out hand-addressed business greeting cards. Then they fired everyone and replaced us with computer programs from India. When you care enough, right?

Soon I will be heading to Florida for a relaxing vacation during which I hope to check out some chicks and get some sun.

The beach brings back memories of so many classic beach tunes that it is difficult to count them all, particularly when you consider the different kinds of beach music including Carolina Beach Music, a genre all its own.

Carolina Beach Music, a genre all its own, is not something I'm familiar with but I'll be sure to research it at some point over the next week while I'm at my beachy home away from home.

Miss Silkie is in charge starting tomorrow. I expect you all to be on your best behavior. I won't be joining Kenny for Kenny and WMC's 80s Rockfest tomorrow night at Illusions so if any of you want to pop on down there for the full show, I'm sure Kenny wouldn't mind some assistance even though he is fully capable of running the show on his own.

My beachy home away from home is a houseboat anchored off the coast of Newport Beach and I have done everything I can to make the houseboat seem more homey, including planting crabgrass which, unfortunately, now has real crabs living in it.

Living in it over the summer and anchored just offshore, it feels like just the place to have a TFWG Summer Beach Blowout (TFWGSBB as most prefer)[/b.

A TFWG Summer Beach Blowout (TFWGSBB as most prefer) would be a fantastically excellent opportunity to get down, rock out and enjoy some big fun in the sun!

Enjoy some big fun in the sun, son, but do not run in the sun without putting on a ton of suntan lotion so you don't burn your buns before you're done.

I burned my buns only one time. That was when I was grilling hamburgers and I had to go to the market to buy more buns. There's a funny joke about Miss Silkie wearing her hair in a bun but I'll save it for later. :)

For what it's worth, it's really nice and warm down here in sunny Florida and I hope to return to work several shades darker than when I left.

I hope the WMC-less 80s Rockfest went ok last night at the still-undergoing-renovation Illusions.

When I left the house today on this rather warm day to enjoy some bike riding, I was hoping I wouldn't get caught in the thunderstorm which had been predicted for sometime in the afternoon.

Fortunately, the storm never materialized and I was able to complete my ride while remaining mostly dry!
