Fantastic word game

Everything else on the Internet pales in comparison to our grace, composure, manners, sportsmanship, humility and nonsensical shenanigans (not to be confused with chicanery) in general.
 
Shenanigans (not to be confused with chicanery) in general are ok as long as they are safe because you don't want to poke someone's eye out.
 
Moe Howard and his brothers came to band camp once to perform for the kids and for the rest of that summer all the kids walked around saying, "Nyuk, nyuk, you can't get me".
 
"Nyuk, nyuk, you can't get me", was poor Curly's demise every time, but that was part of the slapstick shtick.
 
Part of the slapstick shtick of the Three Stooges was getting stuck in the eye by Moe, getting stuck in spilled glue, or getting stuck in various objects.

I prefer to spell it schtick myself, but wished to respect the previous clue and the wishes of its author.
 
Various objects were thrown at the television screen by yours truly when that ball went through Bill Buckner's legs in Game 6 of the World Series in 1986.

Still, I'm glad to see my Mets fan friends enjoying this season after so many years of misery.
 
In 1986, there was no Internet for the common folk or Fantastic Word Game, Ronald Reagan was our President, the Nintendo Entertainment System was popular, and I listened often to contemporary hit radio on my Sharp GF-4343 boombox.

 
My Sharp GF-4343 boombox crashed, burned and disappeared a long long time ago, but I never noticed or missed it since I was out of town for the blessed event.
 
The blessed event occurred a couple of weeks ago but the fun continues at the new Illusions every day including Saturday night with another edition of the 80s Rockfest with Kenny, WMC, and Dave.
 
Party on until the wee hours of the morning but be careful because you still have to be back to work once Monday morning rolls around.
 
Once Monday morning rolls around half the state will still be on fire and the air over here will still be mud.

The air quality is nasty over here, too. I can barely see the trees the next block over. It's THAT bad.

WMC, heard anything from the Pendleton campus? It appears they dropped off orwanet sometime early yesterday and nobody's heard anything from them since. Their primary data backhaul is a series of fibre OC3 links to The Dalles, so something must have happened to it, can't reach Reno's desk via telephone either. I figure since their secondary data backhaul is a terrestrial KA-band microwave link to Spokane, the smoke must be causing problems with it too (smoke fade?). Basically, looks like they're pretty screwed.
 
The air over here will still be like mud because Central Ca is dealing with the same thing, a few fires in the Sierras including the big one at Hume lake which already burned structures at a camp located in Kings Canyon Nation Park.

We are rockin' the house down at the New Illusions with WMC, Dave and me, and Miss silkie and the library interns are serving the tasty tidbits and plenty of drink specials and that even includes Poland Springs bottled water.

Kings Canyon Nation Park is not a band camp location although we do have many band campers who hail from that area.

Kenny, isn't that supposed to be 'National" Park, not Nation? Hmm?? And we certainly extend well wishes to all band campers from that area. We have opened our nearest band camp locations to any and all residents who need to evacuate. We wish them well.

Darth, last I knew, the Pendleton campus was fine. The folks there are safe. I'll be checking in with them again shortly.
 
That area that is usually filled with TFWG (as I prefer) contributors is now short one person as I have received word that one of our pun-filled friends will not be allowed to return.

Due to complications that have nothing to do with us, Thomps/LARR will only be contributing to TFWG2 elsewhere. We thank him for his many contributions and look forward to seeing him at TFWG2. That means JeffM (who hasn't been around much as it is) will have to pick up the pun-slack and the rest of us need to pick up the normal slack.
 
Return to the FWG (as I and a couple others prefer) frequently and post your best contributions.

Thomps, we're gonna miss ya around here! The Fantastic Word Game won't be the same without your stream of clever (and bad! :D) puns!
 
Poster board comes in a variety of psychedelic colors now, putting us in mind of the late 60s/early 70s when loveliness was the attraction of abstraction.
