Fantastic word game

When making a contribution to TFWG (FWG when being ourselves) it is sage advice that one should not call the kettle black while perpetrating a faux pas.

In a world gone wrong, we can all feel safe and secure while visiting the Radio Discussions forums.

Yes, Mr. IDBC, you are correct, sir. :D

The Radio Discussions forums (fora as some prefer) allow us to discuss various radio-related and television-related topics and enable us to play the best word game in the world!

The best game in the world continues on and on even with a smaller crew than in the past.

scanman, ummm, who exactly prefers to call the forums "fora"??

In the past, were a Roman to have used the plural of "forum," he'd have said "fora," for he'd be speaking Latin, in which nouns ending in "um" are made plural by changing the "um" to "a," rather than adding an "s."

"s" on the end of something, creating a plural version, is probably the more well known thing to do which is why I didn't know where scanman was going with that and I do appreciate CT's fun and/or interesting factoid which, by the way, is Jeff's job but maybe CT ought to take over that duty.

Well played, CT, well played.

Maybe CT ought to take over that duty because, well, he's just so darn good at it!

I prefer "fora" over "forums" because it just seems to sound more "proper". ;)

He's just so darn good at it so we'll keep that in the back of our minds since JeffM, the current Director of Fun and/or Interesting Factoids, doesn't show up that often anymore.

Or maybe CT could be the Assistant Director of Fun and/or Interesting Factoids. If he wants it. I think JeffM is lost here without his old buddy, Thomps.

I will take my ball and go home because it is the only piece of bowling equipment I am allowed to, unlike the pins, the gutter, the ball return, or the ugly rented bowling shoes with their size printed on their backs.

On their backs African Lion Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs have fur that always stands up, so one might say that it always has its back up, unlike the usual stand up act known as pyloerection, demonstrated by a dog that wants to appear larger in guard stance.

This is my post to let you all know that unless someone else beats him to it Sweetie Pie will have the first slice of sharlotka, and you can all look that up for your fantastic word of the day.

This one has apples and pears, not just apples.

For your fantastic word of the day and it's definition, please visit the reference materials section of the library or ask one of the lovely young library interns for assistance.
