I corrected it as "FWG" because, as I've explained in earlier posts of years gone by, English speakers don't abbreviate "the". That's my explanation and I'm staying with it.
 
The Game Czar's office door has a suggestion box on it that is intended to be used for serious suggestions only that would allow us to improve our game, not insulting suggestions like "how about taking a long walk off a short pier".
 
Taking a long walk off a short pier, making like a banana and peeling or like a tree and leaving, just to name a few, are not exactly the kinds of suggestions we recommend making at this time of year, what with the big guy checking his list not once, but twice.
 
Not once, but twice, or even more than that, I've had to think about what Darth was saying to me because he appears so infrequently these days that I can't immediately recall what he said the last time he contributed several or more days earlier.

Guys, should I not be immediately available tomorrow, I'd now like to wish everyone a very happy 9th anniversary from the corner office of PowerWorld and TFWG (as I prefer). Who knew when we started that we'd still be here. I was there on that first fateful day. Not all of you were but I'm glad that each of you is here now. Please take some time amongst yourselves during the day to reflect on everything including those who have come and gone from our world (Anyacat) and those who have come and gone from our pages (quadraphonic, raptusregalitur, Stuart, YezIknoradio, MarcB, and so many others). I'm going to post on one of the main RD boards about our 9th anniversary. Maybe we'll end up with some ne'er do wells wishing us good tidings. :)
 
The last time he contributed several or more days earlier than another contributor, he got to make his contribution to the thread on a page prior to the one the latter contributor posted a contribution to.

Well, we've reached our 9th anniversary, so I'll say happy anniversary to the Fantastic Word Game! Here's hoping we'll have many more years of fun ahead of us! :cool:
 
A contribution to the Salvation Army bell ringer's kettle is always a good idea this time of year.

Even though I'm a comparative newby here, may I join the rest in saluting the Game on its 9th anniversary. The word newby reminds me of a local radio station owner of the past, one Harry Newby; who considered himself something of an inventor, and patented a specially designed basketball hoop designed to make it a game in which short men would have the advantage!
 
This time of year we shop for those we love and think about those we've lost.

9 years! Woo Hoo! Happy Anniversary to my fellow TFWG'ers both new and old. Time to start making plans now for the big 10th anniversary bash next year.
 
Lost amongst the celebration is the fact that this game was started by TheDude who eventually left, then came back and tried to shut us down, then finally left again after realizing he had no chance.

He changed his profile name to something else. You can look at the very post contribution on the very first page to see what it is. I don't think he's active on RD. Happy Anniversary everyone!
 
Strong character and knowing what that is has much more to do with our success, because as everyone knows, it matters.

The Fun Department issues 2 demerits to the Game Czar for carrying on so on this festive occasion.
 
It matters to me that we are recognized for our achievements.

I was carrying on, Miss Silkie?? And I get demerits for that?? I'll accept them, of course, because I'm the Game Czar and I must be a role model for everyone but really?? I shouldn't be carrying on??
