Fantastic word game

Fish was portrayed by Abe Vigoda who just passed away a week or so ago after enduring many years of hoax dying.

I just hate it when that happens.

Hoax dying happens more often than you realize but another thing you see often on the internet is repeat dying when posts go viral about a celebrity death many years after they died the first time.

Our beloved Game Czar has a birthday today so please show your appreciation by joining us in his corner office this afternoon for cake and presents.

The first time we celebrated the Game Czar's birthday was this day in 2007, before we had our grand PowerWorld facility, when we had cake and ice cream and gave presents behind the still standing old barn.

Young band campers in our band camp apparently do not live, die and love, neck or suck face by the silicon chip, which will one day be the "back in the day" fun of the non band campers in their age group.

Their age group determines which dorms they will live in and which classes they will attend.

Awww thanks dmargalotti. That was almost as sweet as the birthday call I received today from The Lovely Olivia (TLO as I prefer).

Graduating with high honors can open a lot of doors for you in the business world unless you're a liberal arts major because with that degree, you'd be lucky to get a job at the drive through window at your local fast food establishment.

The drive through window at your local fast food establishment probably has all kinds of incredibly non liberal arts educated people these days.

These days, I often wonder how we've been able to get through nine years of an online word game.

Happy Weekend everyone!

Welcome to our latest contributor to the Fantastic Word Game who joins us from work which is good because we are very safe for the workplace.

Unless you are joining us while we are broadcasting live from Illusions. At that point, you should keep the volume down. Unless you are dancing on top of your desk or wherever your workplace is.

Welcome broadcastguy. If you've never been here before, I'm your friendly Game Czar. You followed our couple little rules (bolding beginning and ending clues; using previous ending clue as beginning clue; using one sentence) so either you've been here before or you can easily figure things out. Good job! :D Should you have any questions, check with me or scanman (he is our Head of Safety and Security...HOSS as we prefer); dmargalotti, our International Director of Band Camp (IDBC as most prefer); Silkie (Miss Silkie as most of us prefer; she is our Chief Mixologist; Head Librarian; Owner/Manager of Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits; and Director of Fun). Thanks for coming by. Stop by again and again please. And join us tonight at Illusions as Kenny and Dave and I rock the house with our weekly 80s Rockfest.

The workplace tonight is at Illusions playing the greatest hits of the 80s with Dave and WMC, but I wouldn't call it work.

Welcome to TFWG (as I and many others prefer) broadcastguy.

I wouldn't call it work playing the greatest hits of all time at Illusions, because it's like partying with friends.

I know I'm double posting, but I felt my last post was incomplete.

Partying with friends is something I don't get to do very often anymore.

My friend Walt who's been having some health issues this year let his sister host the Super Bowl party at her house this year. He invited me. Sunday I got a message that Walt was in the hospital again, but I was still welcome to come over. I didn't I felt it would be too somber.

Anyway I have another friend who is supposed to be coming over for an early birthday celebration in early May. Food, Booze, Yankees-Redsox game on TV, perhaps the mall, and perhaps visiting the studios of KOOL Radio - Southern New England's Oldies/Classic Hit Station.

Very often anymore can you find as awkward an opening clue as the one MarcB posted so I will take a break from my usual Sunday routine to jump on board to do my part to keep things moving forward.

Forward we march on towards 10,000 pages even though Frank Berry did not follow the rule of using the previous ending clue as the beginning clue so we'll give Frank a timeout and 1 demerit and make him think about that a bit longer before he posts again. :)

Frank, all in good fun my friend, but you can't change the previous clue. If we allow one General Manager to do that, we'd have to allow ALL General Managers to do that! :D Gotta use the previous ending clue as is without changing it and the ending clue is just that, an ending clue, not one near the end. But it's ok, you don't join us that much here on TFWG ( as I prefer) so we'll give you a half-pass and only 1 demerit.

Also, with all due respect, the "game" portion of the game is the sentence with clues, not all this commentary in italics below the game contribution. We've never had a rule about that. And, personally, I don't have a real problem with what Marc posted there regarding his "personal problems". I just let it pass and didn't pay much attention to it. I fully realize you are the General Manager and they are your rules. But I hope you aren't suspending Marc because of what he posted. We can't afford to lose more people.

And, dmargalotti, thanks for the weekend appearance. :D

Before he posts again, the Game Czar may find that some old familiar friends have been banished to bogeyland for conduct that has been deemed to violate the terms of usage and conduct we all agreed to when we created our accounts.
