Fantastic word game

We look forward to working with Megan McCormick in the new year because it's just been announced that she's been hired as PowerWorld's exclusive tour guide and trip planner for all corporate retreats, conventions, and destination events.

Corporate retreats, conventions, and destination events will all be handled by Megan while the very lovely Olivia Newton-John (TLO as I prefer) is PowerWorld's Permanent Performance Artist (PPPA as most prefer).

PowerWorld's Permanent Performance Artist (PPPA as most prefer), the lovely and talented Olivia Newton-John, has signed a 5-year contract with us but we are hoping to keep her here a lot longer.

The horizon is currently invisible beyond the current snow squalls but we hope to see it tomorrow while we watch the lovely young library interns frollicking in the snow.

The lovely young library interns frollicking in the snow is an illusion created in the library's silver screen lab using Ivory Snow clothes soap and an 8 mm movie camera, but if you enjoy real fun and frolic in the snow we do have some wonderful footage of roly poly giant pandas playing in the snow.

Sight and other things can be impeded if you indulge too much tonight so band camp is open and volunteer-staffed all night long for those who wish to stay there and not risk the drive home.

The kitchen is also open all night for those with the munchies and we have some activities going on as well. All in the safe environs of band camp.

Or, join us at the new Illusions for a special 80s rock countdown show, then an early morning trip to Denny's, then to band camp to sleep it all off. Happy New Year everyone!!

The drive home was uneventful as most people seemed to be snuggled in their beds with visions of sugarplums still in their heads.

Thanks to all the PowerWorld volunteers who have and are assisting this weekend.

A great idea was hatched a bit over ten years ago creating a word game which eventually morphed into more of a writing/sentence game and here we are, still at it, doing the best we can.

For the year 2016, we submitted 1,365 contributions covering 136 pages. The first contribution in 2016 was from your friendly Game Czar :) not long after midnight Jan 1st, 2016. As opposed to this year, 2017, when no one posted at all on Jan 1st. Can we do better in 2017 than 1,365 contributions and 136 pages? Hmmm?? Can we??

Doing the best we can, we move along with the daily grind towards our long range goal of 10,000 pages.

I have compiled some statistics covering the past 10 years. Number of pages is approximate as I didn't go down to partial pages.

In 2007 (our 1st full year): 1,699 contributions covering 170 pages. I had the first contribution of the year while the lovely Anyacat had the final contribution of the year.
In 2008: 3,062 contributions covering 306 pages. First was TheDude (4dude) but I hijacked it because he didn't follow the rules. Last was the lovely andreajesus.
In 2009 (our best year): 5,788!! contributions covering 578 pages. First was Kenny (2nd was LVRJ) and the last was quadraphonic. The SKenJenningsSummers dark period was early in the year.
In 2010: 5,397 contributions covering 540 pages. I had the first, quad had the last. Our dear friend Anyacat passed away this year. :(
In 2011: 4,776 contributions covering 478 pages. I had both the first and last of the year. :)
In 2012: 4,446 contributions covering 445 pages. Basnya had the first, Thomps/LARR had the last. LARR had just joined us.
In 2013: 4,598 contributions covering 459 pages. I had the first while quad had the last on 12/3 as Radio Discussions shut down for 2 months.
In 2014: 1,809 contributions covering 180 pages. scanman had the first on 2/10 when RD got back up and running. I had the final contribution of the year. We lost a lot of people during the blackout and never really recovered.
In 2015: 1,424 contributions covering 142 pages. Thomps/LARR had the first while dmargalotti had the last.
In 2016: 1,362 contributions covering 136 pages. I had both the first and last contributions of the year. :)

We currently sit on Page 3,444 and this contribution is number 34,432. :)

Our long range goal of 10,000 pages and those statistics I provided excite me so much that I forgot to italicize them.

Bad Game Czar. Bad bad Game Czar.

I forgot to italicize them too when compiling my own statistical data for a PowerWorld research project I'm working on but thankfully you can go back and edit your response if you catch your error quickly enough.

If you catch your error quickly enough by proofreading you won't have to go back to edit after posting, or you might not ever notice, but either way here is post #34435 sitting in the middle of the page.

Happy New Year

In the middle of the page in my high school history book, someone had written the phone number 867-5309 in the margin so I went to the nearest pay phone, called, and spoke with a girl named Jenny.

A girl named Jenny was very happy to speak to dmargalotti while a girl named Olivia was ecstatic to be in my company.
