Fantastic word game

Mr. Ed, a genius by all accounts, made notes to look to the skies tomorrow during this weekend's geomagnetic storm, which is scheduled to occur around the same time as the Perseid meteor shower, possibly making for quite a light show of meteors and auroras.

Quite a light show of meteors and auroras can be seen from the big field just outside of band camp.

See you all tonight at the new Illusions. I wonder if Kenny will be there?

Outside of band camp, the new Illusions is one of the hottest places around what with the 80s Rockfest, the mechanical bull, plenty of bottled water, and Miss Silkie and the lovely young library interns serving up some delicious tidbits.

Good to see a lot of you stopping by Denny's early this morning after the 80s Rockfest and thanks to dmargalotti, our generous International Director of Band Camp (Mr. IDBC as most prefer) for picking up the bill.

The 80s Rockfest, the mechanical bull, plenty of bottled water, and Miss Silkie and the lovely young library interns serving up some delicious tidbits was the magic formula that managed to make it another successful and awesome Saturday night at the new Illusions! 🍻

Another successful and awesome Saturday night at the new Illusions is just 6 days away but for now it's back to the grindstone as we work our way through another Monday.

As we work our way through another Monday there is a good bit of happiness among some of our alumni who made an all out effort on behalf of those who studied and worked the hardest to succeed in their areas of expertise.

Those who studied and worked the hardest to succeed in their areas of expertise have had great careers in their respective fields and we look forward to having many of them address our campers during this weeks' career day.

Those very important social skills have been stunted in their development in recent years because smart phones, texting, and messaging through social network sites inhibits a young persons ability to engage in real conversations, especially ones that involve making eye contact.

Making eye contact with something other than a contact lens is of paramount importance in communicating honestly with others.

In communicating honestly with others, and providing constructive feedback, I am able to train all PowerWorld associates to become the best at what they do.

The best at what they do is what makes certain athletes hall of fame worthy and while we have yet to construct a band camp hall of fame, the board of directors (BOD as they prefer) has formed an exploratory committee to look into the future creation of such an exhibit.

Such an exhibit would have to be given much thought as each and every band camper who has come through the doors is a hall of famer in his or her own special and creative way.

An interesting show to see on HGTV might involve a motel in a rural area of a small tropical island, replete with hanging flower baskets and, as advertised, a pool - above ground, 12 feet in diameter, 30 inches deep, for only $100 "all day".

But then again, it might not.

"All day" was my response to Miss Silkie when she asked me for how long I thought she and the lovely young library interns should be cooking on the first day of the fall move in session.

Speaking of which, that is Labor Day weekend which is right around the corner. Get your volunteer availability in as soon as possible please.

The first day of the fall move in session should go as smoothly as it always does due to the amount of planning that goes into it plus the assistance of all PowerWorld Executive Board members and volunteers plus HOSS scanman and his crack security team.

Let's hope some of those Executive board members stop by here before the weekend is over.

The assistance of all PowerWorld Executive Board members and volunteers plus HOSS scanman and his crack security team will be needed today at our Eclipse viewing parties to make sure none of the kiddies look directly into the sun.

Make sure none of the kiddies look directly into the sun during the totality or any part of the solar eclipse, especially after the interns read to the kiddies all about the last time the exclusivity to America of the total solar eclipse trajectory was in 1776.

In 1778 George Washington interrupted a briefing to send word to the troops that the earth was going dark for a time, but not to be alarmed.
