Fantastic word game

In place of demerits we have occasionally resorted to just throwing the kids into the swimming hole, phone and all.

It pains us to think that the Game Czar might sneak out of his corner office and use up an entire page explaining the rules to rricci, but the good news is that it will move us forward a page.

As Director of Fun and the library literacy program, and on behalf of PowerWorld, LLC, welcome to the Fantastic Word Game, rricci. Please use only the words that are bold at the end of the previous sentence to form a new sentence, and please end your sentence by putting in bold the words you would like used by the next person to post. Extraneous material should be placed in italics.

I care about everyone who joins us here at the Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as all Game Czars prefer) and especially any and all newbies who might drop in.

Hello rrici, welcome to the Fantastic Word Game, otherwise known as TFWG (as I prefer) but also sometimes known as the FWG or tFWG. We have just a few small rules that we like people to follow. Begin your contribution (post) with the full bolded ending clue from the previous contribution. Please make sure to bold that. If you are unsure how to bold, you may use CAPITAL LETTERS. Also, please bold (or use CAPITAL LETTERS) for your new ending clue. Use ONE sentence and one sentence only. To honor our late friend, Anyacat, your contribution may be in the form of a haiku. Other extraneous, miscellaneous, supercalifragilistic 'conversation', such as this, should preferably be italicized or somehow differentiated. Please feel free to peruse any or all of the past 3,526+ pages of our little game dating back to December 3, 2006 to see what we do here and how we have evolved.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or any of our Board members:

WMC (me) -- Game Czar
dmargalotti -- International Director of Band Camp; Director of Occasional Early Morning Contributions
Silkie (Miss Silkie) -- Head Librarian; Chief Mixologist; Director of Fun; Owner/Manager of Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits
scanman -- Head of Safety and Security (HOSS)
Kenny -- Chief Song Spinner for the 80s Rockfest every Saturday night at the new Illusions.

The Fantastic Word Game is moderated by the Executive Board (us) and is wholly owned and operated by PowerWorld LLC, a division of Radio Discussions and RadioDiscussions.com. Radio Discussions owns all TFWG trademarks and copyrights including TFWG, the FWG, tFWG, The Fantastic Word Game, the Fantastic Word Game, band camp, bottled water, the new Illusions, topless driving, TPS Reports, demerits, Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits, Dave and Kenny's 80s Rockfest, Dave and Kenny, Dave and Kenny and WMC, Sweetie Pie, Megan, and Olivia.

We welcome everyone on board to give it a shot and help us towards our goal of 10,000 pages right here at the longest little word game in the history of the interwebs. As always, have fun and take us with a grain of salt. :D

Neat and orderly is how we run things here at the Fantastic Word Game, including the peeing contests over whether it is TFWG or FWG, and everyone always prefers FWG secretly, though for some reason we rarely get an admission.

Admission to the Fall Apple Picking and Pie Eating Contest (FAPPEC as some prefer) is free to everyone far and wide.

And, speaking of far, I'll be far from my Game Czar corner office next week as I head back to the sunny shores of Florida tomorrow afternoon. While I'll physically miss the 80s Rockfest Saturday night, I'll be there in spirit. Miss Silkie is in charge during my absence. Please feel free to boss around dmargalotti as you see fit. :D

The place took a pretty good beating from Hurricane Irma, so it is unlikely that WMC is sleeping on the roof.

Sticky hot summer nights are pretty much behind us now that autumn has arrived, although here and there we might still have a few.

Hot weather has been felt across most of the country this week but I don't mind because I've reached the age where I'm really starting to hate the cold of winter.

Let me put it this way, I shouldn't have to go outside when the temperature dips below my age.

The cold of winter is a time to throw another log on the fire, sip a glass of aged port wine, work the half-crocheted afghan in my lap and read for a bit
