Fantastic word game

Bull riding at Illusions while hammered is ill advised, especially since the bouncers (yes, they are provided courtesy of the Fun Department) don hazmat suits and use persons who barf as the mop before ejecting them by rolling them out in, and dumping them from, a customized wheelbarrow designed for such a purpose.
 
For such a purpose of keeping all band camp move-in weekends accident free, we use HOSS scanman and his entire security team to assist whenever and wherever possible.
 
Whenever and wherever possible we should make references to topless driving, Globe Trekker, Megan McCormick, TPS Reports, cover sheets, and anything else that we discussed consistently over the last 3,537 pages.
 
The last 3,537 pages have been devoted to all of the aforementioned, plus the library, interns, the lounge, band camp in general and a whole lot of nonsense, balogna, hooey and other sundry and assorted silliness, with the single-minded goal of eventually achieving 10,000 pages of the aforementioned, which would be accomplished much faster if contributors stopped merely coming by to see if we are at that magic milestone so that they can make a post and claim to have been a part of the big doings.
 
The big doings would be even bigger if we could sell the naming rights to some huge corporation that's got lots of money to spend on advertising and marketing.

How about The Fantastic Word Game (or TFWG as most prefer) Presented By Walmart"?
 
Advertising and marketing would go a long way, that's for sure, so we need to get some things going such as bumper stickers, social media pop-ups, skywriting (especially around the beaches of sunny Florida), highway signs, and guest spots for us on game shows.

I think Miss Silkie would do really well as a fill in model for a week on The Price Is Right.

We need to bring in the staff of Radio Discussions for a conference to see if they'll finance this stuff for us.
 
Bumper stickers, social media pop-ups, skywriting (especially around the beaches of sunny Florida), highway signs, and guest spots for us on game shows are all great ways to promote TFWG, but let's not forget that nothing beats good old fashioned word of mouth so make sure you are doing everything you can to talk about TFWG in your circles of influence.
 
Pals and chums from band camp seem to be distant memories at times, as they so rarely show up to make a post .
 
Make a post (a contribution as I prefer) and be welcomed to the TFWG family as long as you follow just a couple of little rules to our little game.
 
To see us reach 10,000 pages before our tiny handful of contributors croak is, at this point, little more than wishful thinking.
 
Wishful Thinking was the title of a 1997 romantic comedy with Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Beals that WMC gave 4 out of 5 stars to back when he was writing movie reviews for the monthly PowerWorld company newsletter.
 
Back when he was writing movie reviews for the monthly PowerWorld company newsletter WMC gave 10 out of 5 stars to Xanadu, subsequently banning one of the stars from FWG, and I don't mean Gene Kelly.
 
Gene Kelly did not receive a favorable review from me because I was enthralled and hipnotised by the real star of the movie.

It was fun doing those movie reviews. Back then, it was me doing that; Anyacat doing travel tips; LARR with his puns of the month; Miss Silkie with her recipes; dmargalotti with interesting facts about the newest band camp location; and, going even further back, raptusregalitur (our former linguist) with language tips and quadraphonic even added TPS Report tips once in a while. Damn, that was a good newsletter.
 
The real star of the movie was the group The Tubes who were a San Francisco rock band best known for their songs "Talk to You Later", "She's a Beauty", and "White Punks on Dope".

Note to Kenny: Please add some songs by The Tubes to your playlist for this weekend's Rockfest at Illusions.
 
"White Punks on Dope" is one of those anti-drug lesson songs from 1977, not unlike "Kicks", by Paul Revere and The Raiders from 1967.
 
The planet's population consists of only two kinds of people, and those are non band campers and band campers.
 
Band campers have been a part of the human experience since the time when early man was still dwelling in caves.

The instruments were primitive, the compositions simplistic, but the acoustics in those caves was incredible!
