Fantastic word game

WMC probably hasn't heard it for a long time, which is why, during the Saturday Night Rockfest, he decided to play the Marvin Gaye classic from 1968 entitled "I Heard It Through The Grapevine".

"I Heard It Through The Grapevine" always gets the crowd up and moving on the dance floor although when it comes to dancing, we've got nothing on those dancing California Raisins.

And a special MVP award today to Scanman for keeping the game from going completely off the rails. I shudder to think what will happen when our Game Czar checks in and sees what happened.

Those dancing California Raisins are generally a hit with their Christmas album too, just in case anybody is celebrating Christmas in July.

The interns are baking a cake for scanman, and I dare say that the Game Czar is likely to be just a little jealous that he is not the one taking the cake. That was smooth as silk, scanman.

Elf bikinis for the ladies should be a sight to behold especially since the newbie chicks like MikaelaArsenault will be required to wear one.

Mikaela, my dear, you aren't quite getting it. You need to start your contribution with the entire bolded ending clue from the previous entry. So whomever goes next needs to start their contribution with "MikaelaArsenault will be required to wear one" and then build off that. Get it? And you shouldn't be bolding your entire sentence. Only bold the beginning clue (which is also the bolded ending clue from the previous entry) and also your new ending clue. And, again, please make sure it's a complete sentence that makes sense. You know, something with a subject, verb, maybe a dangling participle. Just make sure it's a complete sentence that makes sense. Oh, and by the way, don't waste an entry by merely responding to something and then using a separate entry to actually play the game. You can do all of that in one just like I am here. Just preferably italicize the game dialogue just like I am here. If you need help, let me know and Uncle WMC will come by and give you some personal counselling. In a paternal sort of way of course. K? Thanks. :D

Can I please get some help with this then?

MikaelaArsenault will be required to wear one because the newbies have to pass their newbie test.

Ok, Mikaela, very simple. My ending clue is 'their newbie test' because that is what is highlighted. So the next person to post should begin with 'their newbie test' (bolded of course). And you build a sentence off of that. And then bold your new ending clue (the ending part of your sentence). Just look back at previous pages (all 3,613 pages if you really need to although the game has evolved a bit from those early days in 2006 and 2007). It's quite simple. Write a sentence starting the ending clue (that which is bolded) from the last posted sentence and write a new sentence and bold whatever your ending clue is form the end of your new sentence. Could be the last word. Could be the last two words. Could be the last phrase. Again, just look back at the last few pages. And if you choose to "speak" in the same post, just italicize it to differentiate it. Again, just look back through the last few pages. And, as I mentioned above, please use one sentence and one sentence only in the actual game playing.

Their newbie test was successfully passed by everyone except Mikaela who seems to want to bolden the entire sentence.

Mikaela, my love, you know how you are bolding your entire sentence? You might be doing it by using the [ and a b and then ] at the beginning of bolding a word or phrase and then using the [ and / and b and ] at the end of bolding. Well, see, you can do that at the beginning and end of each clue, not the entire sentence. So, with 'their newbie test', use just before 'their' and then just after 'test'. Then do the same for your ending clue. Understand yet? I'm exhausted now. ;)

Understand how to form a sentence, as our contributors undoubtedly do, follow our simple rules and you will be well on your way to fantastic word game construction.

Fantastic word game construction has now reached 3,614 pages which leaves just 6,386 pages to reach our glorious destination.

Celebration time is always festive around here, especially since we have a day shift, night shift and overnight shift, not resting until pages and pages are filled with wondrous, fantastic words.

The original one of a film franchise is usually the best movie of the bunch but there have been a few notable exceptions where the sequel was just as good if not better than the original as is the case with The Godfather Part II.
