Fantastic word game

It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing, was a snazzy, jazzy, scatting kind of a tune performed by Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald, two of our band campers from way back, whose photos appear in the Band Camp Hall of Fame.

For some reason that reminded me of a woman who bought a large cat decoration last week. I told her it looked like Kaspar of The Savoy, and she told me, "No, it's a cat.".

The Band Camp Hall of Fame awards will be presented at a special dinner at the end of the Summer session.

The end of the Summer session is still several weeks away but many of those in attendance must have been surprised by a rare, midday, midweek visit from Kenny who usually only shows up on Saturday nights to spin some tunes at Illusions.

And Kenny usually disappears again right after downing a Grand Slam breakfast or two at Denny's just before the waitress brings the check.

Some tunes at Illusions are a good way to get the place rocking but, right now, my schedule is all atwitter at the rare personal appearance by the one and only Kenny in the middle of the week.

I mean, it's so weird. It's kind of like seeing a UFO. Or Bigfoot. Or the Loch Ness Monster. Or quadraphonic. Or MarcB and his mom. Even joeybabe with a YooHoo. I gotta go lie down.

The rare personal appearance by the one and only Kenny in the middle of the week gives us the early opportunity to ask him if he's going to be covering the bill for our traditional post-Illusions breakfast at Denny's.

Right about now, I'm bummed that the game between my Boston Red Sox and the lowly Baltimore Orioles has been called after a 2 1/2 hour rain delay.

Sox were ahead 5-0 in the 2nd inning.

Usual and customary worn out greetings just won't do sometimes, so we just throw a party at Illusions, and we might be there or we might not be there, but there will be a party notwithstanding.

Do you all realize how efficient we have been with space? This post made #11 on the page, so I added to it with hopes of getting to another page closer to 10,000.

Notwithstanding our efficiency, Miss Silkie did good work of moving us one page closer to permanent greatness on the interwebs.

Permanent greatness on the interwebs is what we at the Fantastic Word Game hope to achieve, so generations of people who visit in the future can see, and hopefully add to, the legacy we've created!

Positivity and good feelings are the emotions following every 80s Rockfest because there's just no way anyone could be in a down mood after a great time like that.

Mikaela, my little tulip, do you see where you started your last contribution with 'on the interwebs'? Well, the contribution before yours ended with 'permanent greatness on the interwebs'. Which is what you should have started with. You can't pick and choose what to start with. You start with the entire bolded ending clue from the last contribution. So scanman did the correct thing by bypassing your contribution and continuing the game using the correct clue. Other than that, you are doing a terrific job. ;)

Happy Weekend everyone. We'll see you tomorrow night at Illusions for another 80s Rockfest with Kenny, Dave and me.

A great time like that at Illusions was awesome, playing rock hits Whitesnake, TheLovely OLJ, Journey and many more, everyone was dancing, singing, and loving every minute of it, like the song by Loverboy, Now at Dennys' with everyone with our Sunday Morning breakfast.

Now at Dennys' with everyone with our Sunday Morning breakfast, I'm attempting to explain to Kenny what a run-on sentence is and that he needs to go easy on the caffeine when posting his contribution.

It's difficult to be tough on Kenny when he's buying the breakfast for us at Denny's but rules are rules. Kenny's taking a nap in the sun right now. He'll sleep it off and maybe we'll see him later.

Moving forward punctuation can make or break a run-on sentence; for instance, Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech is the longest, perfectly grammatically correct run-on sentence in history.

See that? Everybody learned something today about run-on sentences.
