Baseball has become less appealing to younger generations but there are still those of us who fondly look back on our affection for the game and the boys of summer.

Don Henley is a band camp alumnus who never fails to make a sizeable donation every single year.

And we certainly appreciate that.

Learning how to drive parents crazy at a very early age accounts for the surge in Band Camp Fun Department registrations.

Band Camp Fun Department registrations are pretty much accepted without question although there is the occasional application that arouses suspicion.

The occasional application that arouses suspicion is thoroughly reviewed by the Special Application Investigative Committee (otherwise known as the SAIC), before a decision is made.

Before a decision is made, in other words, we vet the applicant to be sure that other band camp is not sending ne'er do wells our way.
