Fantastic word game

Learn to write complete sentences, hear great 80s rock, ride a mechanical bull, and enjoy some topless driving (seasonally of course), are almost the exact words I used when I asked Mrs. Phyllis to marry me.

Who shot the deputy? (you youngsters may have to use "The Google" on this one)

His scintillating linguistic abilities captivated her and captured her heart, and the rest is history.

The rest is history so I'm going to take a rest and think about all the new history we are going to make once we hit the big 13.

12 more days!

Down the street and around the corner is where you can find the nearest pawn shop although from what I've seen, it's nothing like the one in Las Vegas that's featured on that TV show.

That TV show, whatever it is, is not at all likely one that I will be watching anytime soon, since I cut the cord ages ago.

And I haven't missed a thing.

Wrestling, is a sport in which my alma mater, Clarion University of Pennsylvania used to compete in at the Division 1 level.

WMC, I have noticed something during my absence, it appears to me that you are now the Director of "TFWG". I know an election MUST have been held (without help from a foreign country) and you became the Director. Then, I was noticing that my idol, the semi-god himself "The Dude" has not been around. I did a little research and discovered the founder of the game is now "4dude" (not "The Dude). It has always occurred to me and many others that you always wanted to be the Director of the group. We would get together at the "Dew Drop Inn" monthly to discuss your determination to rise to power and overthrow "The Dude". I am not making any assumptions (yet), but I am curious what happened the "The Dude" and who is "4dude". Has the election committee ever noticed this??, Where are the election results stored?, Are thousands and thousand and thousands of emails missing? As a citizen of this great Country, I am always concerned about these proceedings . Our Constitution must be followed 100 percent, this is what the "Framers" wanted. After all, this is the "Right" way of thinking. (just saying).

WMC, as one of my early mentors, you know I will always love and support you, and I know that if there actually was an election, the procedures would be followed 100 percent!!!.

Please cue the "Star Spangled Banner" followed by "God Bless America" (the Ray Charles version) First we will all stand for the "Pledge of Allegiance" Miss Silkie would you please lead us??

The Division 1 level was achieved way back at Page 1,000 which means we attained the Division 3 level 780 pages ago.

Guys, Sorry for missing the Rockfest tonight. I'm a sick pup so I won't make it to Illusions or to Denny's afterwards but I'll be with you in spirit.

Stuart, I will never understand your fascination with "that guy who started this game". Some time ago, he left the game and left the boards. Some time later, he came back as '4dude'. We talked about this a couple of weeks ago when you referenced when you left. He wanted it to be his game, couldn't follow the new rules (the game had evolved in his absence), created a disturbance, tried to get the moderators (which I believe at the time was Radio-Info) to shut the game down (now THAT was funny), then tried to be nice. Nobody paid him any attention so he disappeared all over again. And as you mentioned, he hasn't been active on these boards in years. It's time to let him go, my friend. The only person who ever mentions him is yourself. Personally, I don't care about him. He is gone. Kaput. A long long long time ago. Sorry to be real but that's the way it is.

As for me being "Game Czar" (not Director), I really don't recall the beginning. We probably thought we needed a leader and nobody else wanted to do it so I pretty much appointed myself as Game Czar with nobody dissenting. There was never an actual vote so there are no votes or hanging chads stored anywhere. And i have to think that I have been Game Czar for so long that I was probably Game Czar during your first run here. I would suggest that you do some research and dig into the archives from, say, 10 or 11 or 12 years ago and see if you can find some information. Thanks. :)

Now, I've always said that I would remain Game Czar until either I no longer wanted it or someone else really wanted it. If you feel you have what it takes, Stuart, then I heartily suggest you start up a campaign. Prove that you are worthy. Prove that you won't disappear for another 6 or 8 years. ;) Prove that you and Mrs. Phyllis are worthy enough to become Mr. and Mrs. TFWG. If the other Board of Directors (dmargalotti, Miss Silkie, scanman) and the Board of Governors of our company and Radio Discussions feel a change is necessary, it's all yours (unless someone else challenges you). Good luck buddy! :)

780 pages ago, "TFWG" was on page 3000 and I was still in my self imposed exile.

WMC, First I hope you are feeling well. I will now reveal my fascination with "The Dude". (True Story, really). When I was in college, during my freshman year (1980) There was a guy living on our floor in the residence hall. He was a senior and his name was Joe, which is his real name. Joe was very tall, very muscular, very nice, extremely good looking, and played on the football team. But Joe had another unique characterization, he was the "unofficial floor leader"
and a really great guy!!. In a small college of about 5000 students, Joe was known for his incredible football skills (also aforementioned his tall, muscular, good looking body) I was 18 at the time, and I was about 400 miles from home, I was extremely overweight (about 360 pounds) and very home sick. Joe seemed to sense that I was having self identity problems as well as a lack of self esteem. Joe would come to my room a few times a week and we would just sit around talking mostly about my homesickness, my classes, etc... Sometimes Joe and I would walk on campus together. Of course, mostly everyone knew Joe, and he would introduce me to his friends. For the life of me, I could not figure out why Joe would want to hang out with me. Maybe he was kind of like me in high school, maybe he felt sorry for me, or maybe he was just a G-D nice guy. Call it a "man-crush" or a "bromance", or anything you like. Joe was just A Dude helping another person out. When I think of "The Dude" (or "4dude), yes I think about Joe with nothing but fond memories!

My self imposed exile could occur if Stuart becomes the new king of TFWG.

Not true. I've been here since Day 1. Not gonna send 13 years down the drain. I'm here to see our Quest to Page 10,000 through!

Stuart, we have a very occasional contributor named MarcB. He lives in Connecticut. He had a buddy named Cockroach with whom he had a falling out years ago. You and Marc could be good for each other. "Stuart and MarcB" could be the new "Stuart and Joe". In fact, if you do start a campaign to become Game Czar, if Mrs. Phyllis isn't that into it, MarcB could be your perfect campaign partner. ;)

9 days until our 13th anniversary!!

If Stuart becomes the new king of TFWG, it would prove the old adage that anybody could become a king.

WMC, I have no desire to be the king, czar, director, chancellor, commissioner, mayor, governor, or president of "TFWG". I simply wanted to catch up on what has been happening.

The Kingdom is a term used to describe both heaven and Saudi Arabia which is interesting because I truly hope I make it to one someday but I have no desire to see the other.

The other, that is the latter in dmargalotti's post, is certainly not the preferable alternative, though the Bee Gees did note in their totally grammatically incorrect, fingernails on the blackboard lyrics that nobody gets too much heaven no more.

No More Tears is the name of a song by Ozzy Osbourne and it's also the name of a completely different song by Donna Summer and Barbara Streisand that I don't think anyone has combined them into a mashup yet but I wish someone would try.

"Try to Remember" was one of the main songs in the 1960 Off-Broadway musical called "The Fantasticks" which starred Jerry Orbach, who also played Lennie Briscoe on "Law and Order".

(For some reason the shows title is actually spelled like that, not a spelling error)
