Fantastic word game

"Law and Order", the television franchise, is in fact spelled "Law & Order" and I'm surprised you didn't know that because the original show plus all of its incarnations have been on the air for well over 20 years.

Which is even longer than TFWG has been on the air. Just 8 days until Anniversary #13. Stopped by Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits this afternoon. Miss Silkie and all of the lovely young library interns are hard at work creating delicious stuff for the big anniversary dinner.

Nap during the day and you will miss out on all the free goodies that Miss Silkie and the interns plan to hand out across campus Wednesday afternoon.

For all PowerWorld associates who volunteered their time tomorrow or Thursday, you should have received your assignments via email. Thank you. The band camper food, fun and festivities will start at noon and run until 6pm. On Thanksgiving Day, breakfast begins at 7am. Full schedule is online. If you wanted to volunteer and forgot to register, stop by the cafeteria and Miss Silkie will assign you somewhere.

Across campus Wednesday afternoon, a majority of Duke University students and staff will begin to scurry home for the Thanksgiving Holiday, but not Stuart and Phyllis who are staying home in Chapel Hill for the holiday.

WMC, I was referring to the title "The Fantasticks" being spelled wrong, not "Law and Order", however I will concede the ( & ) point in which I did not notice. I will accept the "L" on this one. (Ching... Ching...)

Other parts of the country will have to deal with bad weather conditions for Thanksgiving holiday travel while the weather in my neck of the woods will be relatively nice.

Nice of you to invite us to your place to enjoy some nice weather for the holiday, scanman.

I'm out of the office this afternoon but still accessible while spending time across the PowerWorld campus checking on things for today's pre-holiday happenings and tomorrow's happenings. Thanks to all the PowerWorld volunteers for their efforts. Stuart, I noticed that you and Mrs. Phyllis volunteered to spend time on the food line tomorrow afternoon. Very generous of you especially since you haven't been around for 6 years. Miss Silkie will assign your specific station. I would also like to remind everyone that TFWG is open 24/7/365 so please feel free to drop by to contribute tomorrow even if it's just once.

Happy Thanksgiving from PowerWorld LLC, the Board of Governors, the Board of Directors (myself, dmargalotti, Miss Silkie, scanman) and all contributors to one and all.

Just 6 days until Anniversary #13.

scanman has prepared his scanner on the sleigh to go over the river and through the woods to the big Illusions Thanksgiving banquet.

The big Illusions Thanksgiving banquet will be held late tomorrow night at, oddly enough, Illusions so that kenny has enough time to eat at his place and then eat again here.

Miss Silkie, how's everything going? I do have a reserve group of lovely young library interns should you need extra assistance. Just say the word.

kenny has enough time to eat at his place and then eat again here because, let's face it, one can't really get enough turkey dinner.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Turkey dinner will be on the menu later on today but, right now, I'm working in the food service line (next to Stuart and Mrs. Phyllis) as we serve some delicious food to some of our local military personnel.

My my, that Mrs. Phyllis certainly seems to like the men in uniform! :D

Keep America great by volunteering with your local band camp associates to clean the parks, pick up trash, and help the elderly.

Clean the parks, pick up trash, and help the elderly was apparently taken to heart because nobody was here posting and everyone was out doing stuff with or for others.

Good to see all of you volunteering. And great to see everyone tonight at Illusions. Join kenny afterwards for a delicious breakfast at Denny's.

In reality, I was working today catching up from earlier in the week. And I'll be working tomorrow to get ahead as my neck of the woods is about to get hit by a long duration snowstorm starting late Sunday afternoon into Tuesday.

Favors done for others may result in others paying it forward.

Would someone please explain the meanings behind Illusions and Kenny going to Denny's for breakfast. Thanks!

Paying it forward is all well and good, so long as it's being paid forward to me.

I'm pretty sure Illusions was, or maybe still is, a nightclub in Southington, Connecticut, but I, too, am confused by the whole storyline. Maybe one of the founding fathers of this thread will give us relative newbies a summary someday.

To me, a nap sounds very appealing right now.

As CT said, Illusions is a nightclub in Connecticut frequented by one of our less than semi-regular posters, MarcB. Illusions fell into disrepair and was purchased by TFWG. It was remodeled and reopened and we occasionally refer to it as the new Illusions. Every Saturday night, they have the 80s Rockfest (of which you hosted a half hour last week, Stuart) which is hosted by kenrayc, dmargalotti and myself. kenrayc is also known around here as kenny. Kenny doesn't come around much anymore due to circumstances beyond his control. Early Sunday mornings, following cleanup at Illusions, we all meet at Denny's next door to Illusions for breakfast which is always paid for by kenny because he is a great guy. Illusions also has a mechanical bull so if you see one of us referring to a mechanical bull, that's why.

Hey 2 more days until Anniversary #13. I'm going to post that in one of the main boards way up top at Radio Discussions ahead of time rather than waiting until the big day.
