Fantastic word game

In the mail today was an invitation to schedule an appointment with an eye doctor for discounted, affordable, laser free cataract removal.

Yikes!

Discounted, affordable, laser free cataract removal advertisements should be viewed with skepticism especially if they are from a doctor operating in a van down by the river.

In a van down by the river is where you'll be living, according to motivational speaker Matt Foley, while eating a steady diet of government cheese, if you continue to roll the doobies and smoke the reefer.

The comedy duo of Cheech & Chong are virtually irreplaceable, and any attempt to recreate their chemistry would certainly fall short.

Short shorts, shorter gas lines and bigger hair were some of the biggest differences between the early to mid 70's, when Cheech and Chong were huge, and the late 1980's.

The late 1980s for me involved graduating from college and starting to find my way in the world as a real life adult.

As opposed to being a fake adult. I just hate that!

A real life adult probably considers that being such entirely defeats the purpose of playing Fantastic Word Game.

Fantastic Word Game sounds awkward in my head without the preceding "The", giving me full understanding as to why most prefer TFWG.

She is a valued member of our community that I am happy to have participating in The Fantastic Word Game (or TFWG, as most prefer) because without her and her lovely, young library interns involved, this game would quickly become TFSF, or The Fantastic Sausage Fest, as absolutely no one would prefer.

Absolutely no one would prefer the Fun Department sinking into the sludge and mire of word salads and other word games that do not maintain our high standard of integrity.

Word salads and other word games that do not maintain our high standard of integrity know nothing of our spectacular tales of topless driving, 80s Rockfest Saturday nights at the new Illusions, the mechanical bull, or the endless pursuit of our quest to 10,000 pages.

oh hell. Sorry, CTL.

The endless pursuit of our quest to 10,000 pages (or Quest to Page 10,000 as I prefer) may well take us into the next century and that's ok because I've been here since the very first day (you can check the archives) so what's another hundred years or so.

What's another hundred years or so when we've already been destroying the earth's resources for this long?

I like that, WMC. The Quest to Page 10,000. Perhaps an abbreviation of "TQP10K" for game usage, almighty Game Czar?

The NOW convention is generally a pretty good spot to poach some new lovely young library interns but we try to keep it quiet to avoid some political discord.

cotton belt, you may refer to the Quest as whatever you wish. I prefer Quest to Page 10,000 (and sometimes Quest to 10,000 Pages). Depends on my mood.

It's finally another weekend which brings us to another 80s Rockfest. Join us Saturday night via the livestream as Dave, Kenny and I bring you the best in 80s rock from the new Illusions. And we'll see you later in the early morning hours at Denny's as kenny whips up some dee-licious grub. Seating outside on the patio only, tables socially distanced, masks required until you are seated. We appreciate your cooperation.
