Fantastic word game

The band campers have not had an actual in person band camp experience since pre-pandemic so we will be calling in for all hands on deck once this is all over.

They miss us. They really miss us!

Activities for today include Facebooking, reading TFWG and making an early morning contribution, eating lunch, socializing with my co-workers, playing a few dozen rounds of solitaire, perusing various online news sites, and then maybe, just maybe, I'll get some work done in between.

Please do not share this post with my boss, okay????

In between all of that, dmargalotti is also making tentative plans to get back on the world wide road to visit current and open new band camp locations around the world in his recognized but somewhat inactive role of International Director of Band Camp (IDBC as most prefer).

There's only so much you can do via Zoom. Nothing replaces actually being there. Isn't that right, dmargalotti?

His recognized but somewhat inactive role of International Director of Band Camp (IDBC as most prefer) would not be surprised to know that Clackamas Band Camp has been operating as normally for the past year, but of course being a franchise of FWG Powerworld and not an O&O, that's to be expected.

It's hitting the fan at FWG Clackamas. Of course you know about the "Christmas coup" that happened after the interim Board of Directors was installed last year. The Board held a meeting and voted yesterday on whether to break the franchise agreement and separate Clackamas, Pendleton and the rest of Orwanet's satellite campi from Powerworld/FWGU, dissolve affiliation and operate 100% independently. The election was tied so because of the impasse they will be holding another in a month or so. We did manage to get Eutrice Fields off the Board and you know what a pill she's been. Last month they shut down KFWG and KFWP, took them off the round robin and let everybody go who was involved (including myself), but since we still have our broadcast infrastructure in place we're now operating it as a collective under the interim callsign KFIX (KFWG In eXile), effectively disconnected from the university, operating from an external studio in Portland and Pendleton. And that's why you haven't seen any new programming coming from here since January.

Stay tuned...

That's to be expected when there is dissention amongst the troops so we'll try to keep everyone entertained via the Saturday night 80s Rockfest which is broadcast via the PowerWorld livestream.

Sorry to hear about all the troubles, Darth. Good luck with that.

Shopping online is not an activity that is participated in, in the library, the lounge, language labs or anywhere else at PowerWorld or band camp as far as we are aware.

I always knew our genius communications guy would turn up. Hey, Darth.

As far as we are aware, virtual band camp activities will continue into the early part of summer unless something radical happens.

Miss Silkie, Darth has shown up infrequently but it's not his first time back. You were away when he first came back. He is mostly a lurker, I'd say. Much like Quad who has not reappeared since his incredible return several days ago. Now all we need is a return visit from joeybabe who, when I checked the archives a few days ago, is in fact active on the RD boards somewhere. Just not here. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Kicking, screaming, and butt naked is undoubtedly how dmargalotti will spend his workdays if he can't get back to his international band camp expeditions very soon.

And, therefore, we need to get travelling again very soon because nobody wants to see THAT! :)

Meanwhile, join him, myself and maybe even Kenny in just a little while on the big livestream for the Saturday night 80s Rockfest. The mechanical bull hopes to see you in the not too distant future kicking and screaming and maybe semi-naked in a sanitized sort of way. Happy Saturday!

Arrive to the airport 2 hours before your flight to account for possible overcrowding at the security gates.

That's what I do when I go to sunny Florida.

Achievements that go above and beyond are typically performed by those who attend to practical matters in an obvious emergency which, in turn result in loyalty to the business concern that recognizes that extraordinary occurrences usually don't occur but with and/or to extraordinary people.

The interns are busily journaling all of it.
