Fantastic word game

The bromance between Stuart and TheDude, clearly one-sided on Stuart's part, is pretty sad and I would beat a hasty retreat if I was Miss Phyllis.

Zman, fine job on the mechanical bull last night. Hope you enjoyed your first 80s Rockfest. The first is always the most difficult, as I'm sure you are aware, but you seemed to weather it just fine. We hope you join us each Saturday night either in person or via the big PowerWorld livestream.

Are is only one word that was put in bold letters which is how the game was originally set up.

"OK -- You take the LAST word of the sentence and make a new sentence." (December 2006, as stated by our founder)

Yep, I apparently went with the flow of consensus, but I'll get back on the original rules.
Up and out is a fun rocket going to space.

Idea of branching out from the one word clues is what led to us allowing full phrases for clues which is something that TheDude couldn't accept when he came back after a several year absence and tried to get the moderators to shut the game down.

He was such a clown.

Fantastic word gamers could occasionally be in need of honing the vocabulary with some fantastic words, which is what the library is for in part.

In part of a nature show I watched last night, a vet at the zoo had to perform an ultra sound on a rhino to see if she was pregnant, and while I won't go into detail about how she had to perform the procedure, I will say that I'm glad my job doesn't require me to do that.

My job doesn't require me to do that, is what you hear from a lot of the youngsters in the work force today.

👷‍♂️

"Yep, I apparently went with the flow of consensus, but I'll get back on the original rules." Zman, I was not criticizing your sentence. (that is WMC's job!!!) It has been a long time since only 1 word was bolded. (WMC will get back to us on the exact time and post of the last time one word was used).

WMC, did theDude really to get the game shut down??? 🎲

Another frigid day is ahead of us in your Game Czar's neck of the woods with a potentially heavy snowstorm heading our way this weekend.

Yup, Stuart, he had reappeared after a number of years away. TFWG had evolved by that time by allowing more than one word as a clue. He refused to use the previous contribution's full bolded ending clue and pretty much did whatever he wanted. So we pretty much ignored him and played our game without paying attention to his contributions. He didn't like that too much and threw a tantrum, asking the moderators to shut the game down. Now, it's not as if he contacted the moderators to do that. He merely mentioned it within the game as if the moderators were going to pay attention to that. Eventually, he realized he was beaten and disappeared once again, never to show himself ever again. And it's been a few years now. And, sure, someday when I'm completely bored, I'll backtrack into the archives and look for the last time we used single word clues. You could do that too. Maybe Miss Phyllis could do it.
