Look it up, and you discover an advertising campaign by a tobacco company in Durham, North Carolina.
Also, this suprised me to no end.

Durham, North Carolina is home to the minor league baseball team, the Durham Bulls who were featured in the 1988 movie, Bull Durham with Kevin Costner.

Kevin Costner is often better known for playing morose characters, although Field of Dreams is somewhat less tragic and more lighthearted.

Lighthearted was the atmosphere while "Bull Durham" was being filmed as reported by many local people who were extras.

Uncle Stu's Movie Trivia..."Bull Durham" was actually filmed in the month of February. It was cold, so if you look carefully you can see people's breath!!!

Since our 15th anniversary on December 3rd, our friend Kenny hasn't picked up the check for our weekly get together at Denny's.

Denny's is where I'm thinking of heading this morning for some biscuits and gravy.

Biscuits and gravy are good if you're in the northeast, but when you're down south, you've got to try the chicken and waffles.

Chicken and waffles do not really sound appealing unless you are referring to an egg with your waffle, but then you would have to have sausage or bacon on the plate with the egg, and on the waffle itself you must have fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

That is the only way to have chicken and waffles. It might even be a law somewhere.

Snack wisely, but do forget about getting the proper nutrition.

When I first moved here, I could not figure out the whole chicken and waffle thing. Somebody accidently threw a piece of chicken on the top of a waffle (forgetting to mix it in), and it has been considered an earth shattering culinary miracle. 😱 🐔🧇
