Listening to Rupert Holmes singing his big hit "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" was something I tried my best to avoid on the radio in my car in 1979, a 1971 Buick Skylark.

"Imus in the Morning" wasn't aired in Pine Bluff or Little Rock, the two cities I was closest to in 1979, but I got to hear plenty of Arkansas Razorbacks football, Southern rock, and down-home country music.
