Fantastic word game

Diffusing a bomb will work if you have the patience to watch it disintegrate into fine powder and be carried away on the wind, but defusing it by deactivating or removing its fuse is the technique most likely to work.

Work one more day tomorrow and then it's off to sunny Florida on Sunday.

Yup, I'll be out of the office all week next week. scanman will be in charge of guarding my Game Czar office. CT will be in charge of everything else this time around. I hope you can handle it, CT. Do a good job and we might just have to promote you to the Executive Board although I'm not sure what we'd put you in charge of. Maybe Director of Energy, Tourism and Travel Tips. We haven't had one of those since Anyacat left us.

The 2036 summer Olympic games should probably be held in a desolate, boring locale since hardly anybody watches anymore, anyway.

The radio airwaves through much of the 1980s carried not only domestic AM and FM stations but dozens of shortwave broadcasters as well as unencrypted, analog police, fire and mobile phone calls that anyone with a scanner could receive.

Receive shortwave signals today, however, and it's just not the same experience as the golden age of shortwave.

It's truly a shame that I missed out on the Radio of the 1960's-80's. Despite all of the crackpots you'll find on shortwave, Voice Of The Report Of The Week is AWESOME and WTWW supplies the good 'ol music, thus keeping me interested in Shortwave after all. Plus, Dxing.

Receive a free gift when you purchase a full tank of gasoline is how filling stations used to operate back when they had attendants who would pump your gas, wash your windshield, check your oil, and put air in your tires.

Attendants who would pump your gas, wash your windshield, check your oil, and put air in your tires still exist in Oregon, but to bridge the gap caused by dmargalotti's post, it's best to say these attendants flourished in the golden age of shortwave.

Whoopsie ;)

The Cold War ends for me on Sunday when I get to the warm temps of sunny Florida which I will enjoy for several days.

CT? You didn't respond to my offer of being in charge for a week. You up for that?

Meanwhile, it's the weekend and we'll be rocking to the best of the 80s Saturday night at the new Illusions. Except for me. I'll be there in spirit but not in person as I'll be heading to beddy-bye early for my early flight to sunny Florida Sunday morning. Behave without me please.

Several days ago, me, Stuart, Silkie, scanman, dmargalotti, and CT all drew sticks to see what tasks we are assigned while you are on vacation, and I drew the short one, and then traded, so now I'm the security detail :)

Keeping one person as HOSS, or Head Of Safety and Security, is imperative and that is scanman (thanks for all your never ending hard work, buddy!) while someone else is in charge of everything else.

Ok, CT, you no want, you no get.

dmargalotti, you are large and in charge again. Just stay away from my Game Czar office. scanman and his guys won't let you near it anyway. :D

Patient is what I am not but, unfortunately, I will have to be just that because it's raining here in southwest Florida.

Hopefully, all that rain showing on my phone for the first of the week down here will clear out and I can get some sun.
