Fantastic word game

The road to WrestleMania is quickly approaching.

Thanks for the timely set-up, CH. Now WMC, don't be a Dude and high tail it back to the dressing room. The story, and game, is simply evolving. You have your shtick, and I have mine. It's still only a game, brother, even if you've spent the past 17 years sitting in front of a computer screen playing it.

I'd like to extend the first t-shirt to our dear co-conspirator Stuart. You started this Fantastic Word Game (or TFWG, as he prefers), and the megastar would be pleased to see you reborn as "The Single Dollar Man" in our merry band of miscreants. You can decline, but Blunt Force Trauma awaits if you do. Then there's the cerebral heel, over there, just peering at you from the corner. He's a ticking time bomb, and couId very well drop a pipe bomb at any moment.

BTW, WMC, the rules you laid out for me, upon my arrival, stipulated that we must highlight the end clue of our submissions, so the next participant has something clear from which to work. Thank you very much for your diligence in adhering to the rule moving forward.

Corvette models are not my thing as I much prefer a Jeep or pickup truck.

rosecity, we all make mistakes and I made one. It's not the first time and I will happily take three demerits for my sin.

Meanwhile, why do you keep referring to CT as CH?

And, CT, why don't you correct him?

And, for everyone else, are any of you starting to get the feeling that rosecitymedia is possibly a former contributor in disguise?

A Jeep or pickup truck is better suited to the snowy New England weather that frequently occurs where WMC lives.

Rosecitymedia seems to know just a little too much about the quirks, history, and inner workings of TFWG. It's highly unusual for a newbie. So yes, I too have my suspicions.

WMC lives in snowy Massachusetts and is, in fact, taking a snow day.

Which is why I'm making rare appearances here during the day. Because I'm home. Taking a snow day.

dmargalotti, agreed.

A snow day in my childhood hometown was signaled by 7-3-3 sent over a loud horn installed atop the fire station in the town square.

I have no idea who rosecitymedia is, but he does seem to be an extremely quick study. I believe CH is his abbreviation of "cerebral heel," the pro wrestling term I applied to myself in a post a few pages back.

Square pegs will never fit in a circular hole.

No character, no wrestling talk, just the real person behind this contribution talking to you here, WMC. I do not know the true identity of CT, either.

However, I did bear witness to his frustration with the same old same old postings happening here at the Fantastic Word Game. If you go back a few pages, right after my arrival to the game, you will see that he expressed that very sentiment. So, I've now, for better or worse, provided an alternative avenue for he and I and whoever else wishes to participate. I am not forcing you or anyone else to participate in the ad lib. For me, it's more motivation to come here and take a few moments out of my day to play this rather entertaining game. That's all. I am not trying to step on your toes, or anyone else's, for that matter. The actual game play isn't going to be affected, and isn't that what's actually important?

As to how I picked up the game as quickly as I have, gentlemen, rest your minds and please put away the conspiracy. I am not here to "toot my horn", but I am not your average human being. I wouldn’t be where I am in life, without the education that I possess. I've become a bit sloppy on my punctuation, apparently, but I read a multitude of pages worth of material here to get myself up to speed and capable of stepping in without making a mess of the game play.

With all that said, can we all go back to playing the game, in our own desired way, without feelings being trampled? That's certainly not what's intended on my part. Everybody, please, reholster.

Hole in one WMC, rosecitymedia is actually the lovely and extremely talented Lauren Margolis, TheDude, or the old man in the Scooby Doo episodes!!!!

The lovely and extremely talented Lauren Margolis, TheDude, or the old man in the Scooby Doo episodes!!!! are quite the threesome but Lauren is much prettier than rosecity, TheDude is not and would already have attempted to shut the game down and the old man is dead.

rosecity, CT (or CH as you prefer) has complained on and off (mostly on) for quite some time (long before your time here) regarding constant mentions of band camp, Illusions, the new Illusions, the 80s Rockfest, the mechanical bull, and assorted other things so I am well aware of it.

And, thank you, rosecity, for actually taking the time to peruse the archives to see what we do here, from where we started to where we went to where we are (including band camp, Illusions, the new Illusions, the 80s Rockfest, the mechanical bull and other assorted things) and following the little rules we have. Even though some of us occasionally forget to bold. And, don't worry, rosecity, you WILL forget to bold at some point. And we (meaning I) will forever cherish that day. :)

"The old man is dead" is a fantastic song performed by a fellow Texan, Mr. Del Way, originally from the beautiful Hill Country region of our State.

My pleasure, Game Czar. I have no qualms with the aforementioned assorted list of hilarity you bring to the table, and so we're clear, the diatribe I spewed previously was done so in character. I don't want to change the spirit of the game by any means, I only attempt to make it a little more entertaining for those of us who didn't make the guest list for an after hours breakfast at Denny's.

I know you'll be waiting for that gaffe with baited anticipation, just don't do it while holding your breath. 😉

Our State of The Game Address (OSOTGA) will feature the lovely and extremely talented Lauren Margolis as Keynote Speaker discussing and comparing the of citizens Tyler Texas to the citizens of Worcester Massachusetts. 🤠 👷‍♂️

The of citizens Tyler Texas to the citizens of Worcester Massachusetts would make a lot more sense to the rest of us, if you'll just slow down, Stuart, and gather your thoughts before hitting that post reply button.

Was it the excitement of receiving the officially licensed t-shirt, or was the Cerebral Heel (or CH, as I indeed prefer) glaring at you from ringside that caused your faux pais? I can have him summoned to the Gorilla position, if that would help.

The rules do not forbid offering an Orangina to rosecitymedia, but if our poster prefers we can offer breakfast with some punny side up eggs.

Eggs of all types as well as other yummy breakfast offerings are available to anyone and everyone whether they attended the 80s Rockfest or not.

My apologies, rosecity. The breakfast at Denny's is open to everyone, no formal invites needed. I thought you had been told that. Please do join us this weekend.

Whether they attended the 80s Rockfest or not, Wolcott, CT is still a popular destination for travelers on a limited budget with no reliable means of transportation.
