Fantastic word game

The beds in adjacent rooms to mine at a cheap hotel one steamy summer night could be heard creaking and thumping in time with the passionate gasps and moans that accompanied the one-night stands in progress within.
 
Within the walls of the hotel manager's office, the proprietor and his staff plotted and schemed on how they would keep the hourly guests, and the steady flow of traffic they caused, from drawing unwanted attention of the local law enforcement officials.

They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but I've taught mine to answer questions such as "What's the opposite of smooth?", "What's on top of your house?" and "Who is the greatest baseball player of all time?"

A ride on the world-famous mechanical bull was mastered by a young band camper who was riding the real thing from a very early age.
 
From a very early age, I was fascinated and enthralled with the world of professional wrestling, which appears to be some common ground that I share with CT.
 
X-ray vision was what I had hoped for when I asked my parents for a pair of X-ray Spex as a child, but the results were utterly disappointing.
 
The results were utterly disappointing for the bucking bronco so the next guy tried to stay on the mechanical bull for a longer period of time.

Hi everyone. Today was my last full day in sunny Florida. How time flies when you are enjoying awesome weather and interviewing potential future lovely young library interns. I fly out tomorrow afternoon so I might be able to pop down to Illusions if we get in on time. Thanks to dmargalotti for getting in the obligatory Friday afternoon Illusions post. He remains in charge through Sunday. I'll be back in my Game Czar office Monday morning. Have a great weekend!
 
A longer period of time was needed to come up with an awe inspiring contribution, but it's late, and it was an extremely taxing day for me today, so this drivel is what you get.
