Fantastic word game

Due to the amount of Badgers and Sloths in the roads, the local band camp July 4th parade has been moved to the other side of town.

Derail a train, by throwing a switch and sending it onto a siding or branch that's holding a row of stored cars, and you will very quickly find yourself in extremely hot water.

The age old adage says that the early bird gets the worm and we saw that play out this morning when Rosecitymedia got his contribution in moments before mine, but of course his post was not visible to me at the time.

Time is what we want the most, but what we use the worst.

That's twice, now, that that has happened. Uncanny.

His affinity for those lovely young library interns is a subject on which I'll steer clear, so I'll take Stuart's tip for my next vacation and, instead, visit The Appalachian Mountains.

The Appalachian Mountains just might be my next vacation stop as long as those mountains are near a beach with lots of bikini babes.

dmargalotti, how's the vetting process for our potential Appalachian Mountain band camp coming along?

Y'all that think that we all have a deep southern drawl, probably also believe we have tumbleweeds rolling across our fields, still ride on horses, and take to the streets for an old fashioned gunfight to settle our differences.

Welcome to The Fantastic Word Game, Hyrum. I am the resident redneck from the Lone Star State, 'round these here parts. A tip of the 10 gallon hat, and a hearty yeehaw to you, sir. I'll yield the floor to WMC2006, the resident "Game Czar", to inform you as to what all you did wrong in your submission.

Steven Spielberg directed ET, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and the movie that made everyone scared to go in the water, Jaws.

Hyrum, welcome back or welcome aboard. Great to have you. Please remember to bold your beginning clue (which is the bolded ending clue from the previous post) and please remember to bold your new ending clue. If you are unable to bold, we will accept CAPITAL LETTERS. Also, just as you already did, please remember to use one sentence and one sentence only. In honor of our late friend Anyacat, we will also accept a contribution in haiku form. (We are still waiting for someone to do that.) Any dialogue within your post should be italicized or somehow differentiated from your game contribution. Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask any of us.

Your TFWG Executive Board:
WMC2006: Game Czar
dmargalotti: International Director of Band Camp; Director of Early Morning Contributions
scanman: HOSS (Head Of Safety and Security)
Silkie (Miss Silkie): Director of Fun; Head Librarian; Chief Mixologist; Owner/Operator of Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits
Regular Contributors: CTListener; rosecitymedia
