Fantastic word game

Often times, when I was a young 'un, my mother would go outside and fetch herself a big enough switch in order to properly tan my hide.

All the tanning, yet it remains pasty white. 🤷‍♂️

The best gifts of nature surely include a sharp mind capable of learning and retaining the most arcane rules of English usage, which makes me well endowed indeed.

This is a good time for the DoL to remind everyone that it's "oftentimes," not "often times."

Indeed, when we post here, we must be very mindful of the rules of grammar for the English Language.

Looking at the posts above, I see the makings of a good parody song... 🎶"Nobody gonna tan my hide, oh no..."

A lecture by TFWG on call lecturer Mr. Allen would have to last for hours to cover all the grammatical offenses committed in this thread alone.

Ahem! "English language," not "English Language" unless being used as part of a composition, book, article or song title, "On-call," not "on call" when used before a noun. And so it goes.

Alone last night at Illusions following another fantastic 80s Rockfest, I finished up with some cleaning chores before heading over to Denny's to see the gang.

Your opinion is something to which you are entitled, as long as it agrees with my opinion. :D
