Fantastic word game

A turkey salad sandwich makes for an OK lunch or three over the long Thanksgiving weekend, but by Monday, the prospect of yet another becomes increasingly unappetizing.

Bland food can sometimes be improved by the use of salt and pepper.

"To set a table" is about as boring a topic as I can imagine, yet here we are, discussing it in three straight posts.

Almost makes me wish the conversation would shift to topless driving, The Lovely Olivia, and the mechanical bull!

My time this weekend will be spent volunteering at the Band Camp Holiday Meal For The Homeless during which I look forward to seeing many many PowerWorld associate volunteers.

dmargalotti and CT, as members of the Executive Board, you of course are required to spend part of your weekend volunteering. Please see Team Leader Henrietta in the cafeteria upon your arrival to receive your responsibilities for the day. rosecity, I did not see your name on the volunteer list. Tsk tsk tsk. You could certainly volunteer at your local PowerWorld band camp down your way. Everyone else, see you there.

And, then, we'll see you tomorrow night at the new Illusions for a Thanksgiving-themed edition of the 80s Rockfest as kenny, Dave and I play the tunes all night long. Join us at Denny's after that. Have a great weekend!!

Many many PowerWorld associate volunteers lend a helping hand, but I would like to know who Henrietta is and where she came from, but it is just as well that she is in the cafeteria somewhere up the road, because we have all the bodies we need in the lounge.

In the lounge, join your Director of Linguistics for cold beer, hot country music and useful tips on life, love, grammar and tomorrow's eighth race at Aqueduct, with a comprehensive test to follow.

Follow the directions and you will probably have better luck at making it work.

Average age of our little band campers is about 12, CT, so you might want to hold off on cold beer and useful tips about love.

Miss Silkie, Henrietta works on the floor below my Game Czar office. Not to worry, she isn't replacing you. She is an extra helping hand for the weekend. I've been roaming around the main campus this morning. It is nice to see so many of the lovely young library interns volunteering today.

Also saw many of HOSS scanman's security people serving and protecting.

"Cold Beer And Useful Tips About Love" would make a great country song.

A great country song about TFWG has yet to be written, although Billy Walker had a '70s hit called "Word Games" and Blake Shelton topped the charts in 2016 with "She's Got a Way With Words," which featured lines like "She put the 'EX' in sEX" and "She put a big 'FU' in my FUture."

FUture posts, including this one, would probably be flagged by the Director Of Linguistics for improper capitalization if it weren't for the fact that said improper capitalization was, in fact, a word game.

A word game is likely to have the occasional faux pas as the fun department refers to such events.
