Fantastic word game

Find out that you very well may be mistaken in your assessment, my dear friend, after visiting the backwoods of Central Louisiana.

Mice ain't the only thing you may find served up on a heaping plate placed directly in front of you.

The backwoods of Louisiana are where I'd go for all sorts of spicy critters, but I've got a hankering for beef right about now, so I'll be flying down to the RCM Ranch with my butcher's tools and George Foreman grill with an eye on barbecuing a side of ribs from Constance the cow.

You're gonna have to bolt her down like WMC bolts down the bull at the new Illusions.

During the depression from which he suffered, the mental patient fashioned himself a noose made from medical grade gauze and rubber bands.

Jeez Louise...I'm gonna hafta sleep out in the barn for the foreseeable future. At least you've got the right idea, and not trying to coerce her into your boudoir.

Medical grade gauze and rubber bands might have been turned into a means of escape by the castaways on Gilligan's Island.

The castaways on Gilligan's Island were missing in action like the word "Central" was in CT's response to my earlier contribution about the good people of Cenla's eating habits.

Didn't want y'all to think I ain't paying attention.

Nothing at all is apparently to be addressed by our Director of Linguistics (Linguistics Czar, as I still prefer) on his previous unfortunately submitted blunder, so I'll just move the game along and file it away for a rainy day.

We'll be keeping this little incident in mind the next time you get all demerit happy and go tossing one this far to the South. 😁

File it away for a rainy day if you wish, but my blunder had nothing to do with linguistics, so the Game Czar, rather than the Linguistics Czar (as rcm prefers), will have to determine the penalty, if any.

Any chance the bolding of too many words in your last contribution falls under your jurisdiction?

Oh, CT. You musta gotten some of those titillating, yet rather elusive, X-mas gummies under your tree.

Your jurisdiction, CT, falls within the realm of linguistics only which means it's my job to talk about how you missed one word in one clue and added three words to another clue.

The three words added isn't as bad as the one word missed. So we'll forget the added words because you probably bolded too quickly there. However, we can't let the other issue slide by, especially since rosecity has made such an issue out of it, so I shall need to issue 1 demerit with the understanding that, if it happens again within the next 2 pages, the Board of Governors (our bosses) will suspend your Linguistics privileges for 27 hours and 18 minutes. So watch it!!

Another clue that there's been a snow job going on is when you see the snowplows out plowing, and another is when you see the talking heads talking about the returns on Election Day.

Election Day can't come too soon.

Guilty on the gummies charge, rose, though they were not gifted to me but, rather, purchased well before Christmas 10 miles up the road. I'll try not to post within six hours of ingesting one (or two, as I prefer) for the next two pages. If that doesn't fix my little problem, maybe I should consider checking into PowerWorld Rehab.

Soon, we will be leaving 2023 in the rearview mirror and looking forward to seeing 2024 on the highway of life.

Most PowerWorld offices will be closing at 3pm Friday afternoon and reopening at 8am Tuesday morning. The main administration building, including the Game Czar office, will be open until regular close of business on Friday. Band camp will be open all weekend with a mostly skeleton crew along with the security staff under my direction. Miss Silkie and the interns will be staffing the cafeteria and, of course, Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits. Given that she is also Director of Fun, she probably has a few other things up her sleeve.

Twists and turns on life's highway (of which you're currently traveling) has reached the end of the workweek and you know what that means.

II's time to welcome everyone to the weekend and to join dmargalotti, kenny and the bovine bandit tomorrow night at the new Illusions for another fantastic New Year's inspired 80s Rockfest. Afterwards, join them in the wee hours of Sunday morning when kenny cooks up some delicious grub at Denny's. Have a great weekend!!

I guess I did come off as somewhat of a bitch with my complaint, but I'm near positive that ol' buddy up yonder will handle this contribution with much more class and dignity than I displayed.
