Fantastic word game

Anyway, when I am trying to fill time, I will say that I misspoke, and that I am a knucklehead, but I will not say that I lied. :D

"I will not say that I lied" is also what the president meant to say, but instead, all he could come up with was "By the way ... look ... folks ... not a joke."

Anyway ... we finally beat TFWG.

A joke I heard recently made me laugh a lot but, sadly, I can't remember it so you guys will just have to laugh on your own.

Your own views on politics are probably best kept to yourself and expressed at the voting both instead of in this thread where, even though we come from vastly different backgrounds, we are bonded by a common love of word play.

Play along with me as I contribute on this Friday night, doing my best to move the game forward, but wondering why there were so few contributions today.

Hopefully there will be more tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, join us tomorrow night at the new Illusions for another 80s Rockfest as kenny, Dave and I play the best in 80s Rock plus your requests. Then join us early Sunday morning for some great grub at Denny's along with a special visit from the Denny's-sponsored mechanical bull. Have a great weekend!!

Tango, or whatever your preferred form of dance is, tonight at the new Illusions or just stand back and watch while enjoying the atmosphere.

Good Saturday morning!

The atmosphere at our southern locations, especially Florida, is one of extreme caution as another possible strong hurricane is forming in the Gulf.

High level meetings are being held.

The Gulf gas station in town used to sell chicken sticks, hot dogs, and other roller grill items.

That is, until Connie caught wind of it and went on a rampage after finding out that they weren't using real cheese in the taquitos.

Roller grill items such as hot dogs taste better when eaten earlier rather than later once they are left to whither under the lights.

Under the lights tonight in Philadelphia, the Mets will try to put the Phillies on the brink of elimination.

WMC can't seem to eliminate his linguistic missteps, though. Three more on his way for his misspelling of "wither."

Elimination of the mechanical bull remains high on the to-do list of our distinguished friend from Vermont.

By way of Connecticut, of course.

Our distinguished friend from Vermont will stay away from the mechanical bull if he knows what's good for him because the bull remains under 24/7 guard by HOSS scanman's men plus a few burley guys from PowerWorld Town.

HOSS scanman's men plus a few burley guys from PowerWorld Town got to enjoy some homemade cookies delivered to them by Doris, the kindly and elderly widow who lives in the white Victorian on the edge of town.

Doris, the kindly and elderly widow who lives in the white Victorian on the edge of town, gave WMC a couple of whacks on the head with her hardcover dictionary as punishment for yet another misspelling, adding physical pain to the psychological trauma of the three more demerits that are coming his way.

Burly. No "e."

Refuse to rewrite your submission, as I just had to do with this one (thanks, dmargalotti), and prepare to face the music of everyone throwing their collective arms up in disbelief.

Dagnabit, partner. If we're gonna keep on dancing like this, we need to quit stepping on each other's toes.

In disbelief and shame for those misspelled words, I hung my head as I walked down the path around band camp until I ran into one of the interns at which point I perked up immediately.

I must have been thinking of 'barley'. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Makes no sense but I'm sticking to it anyway.
