Fantastic word game

Redd Foxx died while filming his tv show.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Weiserguy. Seriously, man?? Two rules you need to remember and you keep breaking the both of them. One sentence and one sentence only please. And please begin your contribution with the bolded ending clue from the previous contribution. WHAT are we going to do with you????

CT, we need to have a conference and/or an intervention although I don't think it would help our friend Weiserguy at this point. Perhaps a hefty 10 demerits will do it
.

His tv show (or TV, as dictionaries concur), "Sanford and Son," was modeled on "Steptoe and Son," a British situation comedy.

Make that seven elements, Czar, assigning three to yourself for the capitalization boo-boo. And let's be clear about one thing: You will be the one assembling the demerits, packaging them, and lugging them, on foot, to Weiserguy himself. Let me and my petite -- and attention-starved -- intern have a little non-work "us time."

Comedy aside, my cow sure could use a set of magical fingers right about now.

Seven elements? When the hell did this turn into science class? Whole thing smells like a vial of sulfur to the redneck.

Some opposable thumbs would sure be handy, and we certainly thank you for the suggestion.

A tip of the 10 gallon to you and Sweetie Pie, Silkie.

The suggestion I have for WMC and his (her?) demerits surely (Shirley?) can't be repeated in polite company.

Okay, semicolons it will be from now on; in fact, if you prefer ... I can go wild ... with my expansive ... ellipsis collection. And I did begin with the bolded ending clue; look again. Man, if this is the abuse an old engineer is going to get around these parts, I'll return to my first love of calling Sid a putz.

Polite company agrees with Weiserguy in that he did use the beginning bolded clue correctly but used two sentences in violation of the One Sentence Rule (OSR as some prefer).

Weiserguy, we appreciate that you used the bolded clue correctly. But you used two sentences back in Post #48853. As I've stated numerous times, we require one sentence and one sentence only. Not two sentences. Not three sentences. Not parts of sentences. Just one well-crafted sentence without semicolons or ellipses unless you have a burning desire to clean up exploded gray matter. :);)

The One Sentence Rule (OSR as some prefer) should be respected as The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as many prefer) version of Star Trek's Prime Directive.

Star Trek's Prime Directive is that everybody who was obsessed with the show when it first aired is required to still be obsessed with it nearly 60 years later, go to fan conventions regularly, tell each other "Live long and prosper," and continue to wear those same glue-on Spock ears they bought in 1967 even though they look ridiculous on adults.

Adults, like Weiserguy, bring a little tear to my eye.

Another troublemaker in these here parts? Willing to fling semicolons and ellipses around all willy nilly?

Hey, Connie! Methinks we've found our doppelganger. Hate to tell you, darling, but it's one of those confounded Californy Anns.

Field Of Dreams reminded us that if you build it, they will come.

That was an awesome movie, for sure, but if I'm watching a baseball-centric flick from that particular time period, my go-to will always be "A League of Their Own".

"There's no cryin' in baseball!"

Bull Durham is, yet, another excellent Kevin Costner starring baseball movie, and doggone it, @Weiserguy, I had forgotten all about it.

The heifer and I change our vote. A League of Their Own has slipped to #2.

A baseball fan, especially your friendly Game Czar, had to be pretty excited watching the action-packed World Series this year where America's Team beat those ruffian Yankees.

Tonight's fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is likely to be over inside of 4 rounds, and will see Mr. YouTuber get his comeuppance.

A lot of folks are short changing "Iron" Mike due to his age. Tyson ain't getting dropped in the 1st like Holifield did in his comeback.

The Redneck betting window has it Tyson by KO in the 3rd.
