Fantastic word game

Elephants used to be a big part of the Ringling Brothers/Barnum and Bailey Circus but they were retired following animal cruelty concerns.

Concerns over that corner office, Padre, will need to be addressed with the Petite Blonde Intern, who has already claimed it as a walk-in closet.

There just ain't enough room for her vast ensemble at The Vermont Boudoir (TVTB, as this particular Texican prefers).

If you happen to a voice over professional, and you fail to insert a hyphen between "voice" and "over," and a "be" between "to" and "a," please enroll at PowerWorld High School for a semester of remedial English.

Completion of that course will strike these three demerits from your record.

English lessons, I thought, had come to a conclusion after my boudoir dwellin', short stack intern lovin', gummy cravin', partner in crime relinquished the position.

Let's hope a "free pass" on any future demerits levied down this a' way has been sent in the mail, by our distinguished Linguistics Czar and his pretty little number.

The position remains mine, as the former Czar never accepted my resignation and I never intended to be his replacement.

I think the "pretty little number" might be over both me and Connie, though. She's sighing when she sees roses and ranch dressing now rather than dairy products. Heck, she even let out a cute little "aaahhhh" when she came across a picture of our 10th president in the encyclopedia the other day. Feller named Tyler.

Replacement of the Petite Blonde Intern in the game would be most tragic, and would require us to come pay y'all a visit to talk her on down from that ledge.

Say it ain't so, compadre. Maybe, just maybe, we can procure her a plane ticket on down to the Lone Star, for another rip-roarin' visit, and cure those withdrawals from which she's sufferin'.

"Keep those demerits coming my way, big boy!" exclaimed Rosie to the Health Department inspector, as she slowly slid the spaghetti strap down her shoulder and gave him a little wink.

Ol' Rosie's a bit of a hussy, or so it appears. Might be time for the redneck to conduct some interviews for a new saloon keep, before she gets my hind end bobbin' in a pickle barrel.

Childhood turtle Pokey I and his successors, Pokeys II, III and IV, all met their demise in the same way, starved and dehydrated under the sofa after escaping from their shallow bowl.

Loved the way they would snap up lettuce and raw beef, though -- and boy, did they love those dried ant eggs from the pet shop!

Bowl-a-rama looked absolutely packed when I drove by earlier, after getting off from the gig.

Getting off from the gig, the bullfrog hopped away, its wound only superficial.

Frog gigging in the drainage ditches was pretty popular in Arkansas. I suppose it was way too hillbilly for Texas. Turtles, frogs ... can't seem to stop talking about critters, can we?

Superficial wounds are more likely to be suffered by the ever-elusive snipe, after being beaten with a stick, once it's been captured in a pillowcase.

A Lone Star tradition to take the young 'uns out fer a good ol'-fashioned midnight snipe run.

I won't even get into the outlandish critters the in-laws in Lose-e-anna hunt fer fun.

A pillowcase is where my head is aimed later tonight after watching the obligatory New Year's Eve programming.

Otherwise, a quiet night thinking about my newfound freedom and how different things are from a year ago. Happy New Year everyone!

The obligatory New Year's Eve programming gave me a few minutes to scan the TFWG 2024 archives.

rosecity had the first contribution of 2024. It was #45901 on page 2296. In 2023, we posted 3,296 contributions covering 165 pages. Looks like I'll have the last contribution of 2024. During 2024, we've posted 3,578 contributions covering 178 pages. Well done, gang, well done. Onward and upward.

The TFWG 2024 archives are in the books and it's time to create history for 2025 with yours truly leading the pack with the first contribution of the year.

Happy New Year!
