Fantastic word game

My news feed here at TFWG (as I prefer) has been mysteriously empty of anything and everything coming from that big state in the south.

Hmmm. Bird flu hits, rosecity disappears. COINCIDENCE?? I think not!!

Anything and everything coming from that big state in the south is usually much bigger (and many would say better) than whatever comes from anywhere else.

Properly writing a sentence in the TFWG universe will bring much praise, rainbows, and unicorns.

Which in any universe is a whole lot better than heifers or critters.

Eggs and toilet paper used to be inexpensive, which is why we threw them at people's houses the night before Halloween.

For us, it was Mischief Night. Others I've heard called it Cabbage Night or Goosey Night. Either way, who can afford to do that anymore given how much eggs cost?

"There once was a man from Nantucket" was one of those poems that made you want to check both his ears.

His ears are deceiving him because Miss Silkie changed dmargalotti's clue but his eyes are so gosh darned happy to see her that he is very happy to let it pass.

Let it pass, because it's much bigger than you are, and it will kick your butt.

'It will kick your butt', I thought to myself on Monday as I was experiencing the beginning symptoms of a cold.

It has definitely kicked my butt. Drippy nose most of the week. Also stuffed up. Some sneezing off and on. Coughing off and on. No aches. No pains. Did a Covid self-test, it was negative.

Earlier, I posted about how I felt near the beginning of the week while, in my last contribution, I updated everyone on how things went over the week.

You're welcome.

On a Sunday in the fall, you can usually find me watching my NY Giants play some really bad football.

I had that cold thing too, WMC. I don't get sick very often but this thing took a full week and a half to kick.

Football fans are in the middle of two weeks of Super Bowl hype, which seems especially unnecessary this year, as the teams playing in the game get enough hype during the regular season.
