Fantastic word game

Support those who need it by offering encouragement and posting the Early Morning Contribution (EMC as I prefer) of the day.

Gotta help that dmargalotti once in a while.

They know not what they do, but they do know they've sure 'nuff been havin' a lot o' fun doin' whatever it is that they do.

Much obliged, Padre. I'll never turn away a man o' the cloth puttin' a kind word in fer this lanky ol' hayseed. When you talk to him next, ask Him to let The Cajun Queen know that I tip the 10-gallon in her general die-rection ev'ry single day.

They will spend eternity searchin' fer all o' the various components o' the mechanical bull, after the heathenous duo from Texas n' Vermont (with a wink n' a nod to our honorary Florida-transplanted man o' frozen storage, Mister Ed) disassembles the sucker n' sells it piece by piece on eBay.

Spirit Airlines could sure 'nuff use some o' that good, ol'-fashioned, dee-vine intervention when it comes down to their overall customer satisfaction scores.

...n' that's the gospel truth.

Customer satisfaction scores do not exist in North Korea, but in their most recent election, Kim Jong Un got 100 percent of the vote.

The North Korean press also reporting that in his first time playing golf, the Supreme Leader got 18-holes-in-one. Remarkable, ain't it?

100 percent of the vote is in, with the rather tight race now called, certified, n' all the standard opponents' concessions given, fer yer winner o' the Fantastic Word Game's Woman o' the Year, Kayla, the Petite Blonde Intern.

See, Mister Ed? This is how you go 'bout gettin' some o' those improper speech n' punctuation tickets exp.. expun...yanked off'n yer permanent record. That, n' havin' a nice, tall Mason jar (Kerr, if'n you prefer) full o' ice-cold milk (waitin' in the Freezer o' Doom, o' course) sure wouldn't hurt.

Now, Padre. Without Kim Jong Un, n' his pappy n' grandpappy 'fore him, we wouldn't have the opportunity to peer in n' see what riveting things they're up to.

Kayla, the Petite Blonde Intern, in solidarity with the oppressed peoples of the world, refuses the award and asks the Great Spirit to revive Sacheen Littlefeather to lecture all those who voted for Kayla, much as she did on behalf of Marlon Brando.

Marlon Brando, much like Johnny Mathis a few contributions ago, had no idea that he would become a TFWG clue.

CT, it was nice to revisit that Johnny Mathis contribution from 3 years ago especially since the one following yours was from our old pal, Stuart.
And, speaking of contributions, and speaking of no one bothering to congratulate me, I'll just congratulate myself and give myself an awkward but hearty pat on the back for having the first contribution right here on Page 2,600. Well done, WMC, well done. Thanks WMC, I appreciate that very very much!!

A crime is seeing that no one has posted here since my early morning contribution (EMC as I like to call it) which was almost seven hours ago.

In case you're looking for me round these parts, the Padre and his beloved will be off the grid (OTG as some prefer) for a few days starting tomorrow. I'm only telling you so we don't have a repeat of last time when WMC and RCM had to put aside their differences to form a search party. It was a beautiful sight to see, but it was not needed.

Almost seven hours ago, I had a dream (a vision, if you prefer) that involved the aforementioned Sacheen Littlefeather, whom, with no warning given, decided to scalp me for all of the sins that I have committed against the oppressed peoples of this world, and once I awoke ("snapped out of it", if you prefer), drenched in perspiration, breathing heavily, and with a heart nearly pounding out of my chest, I realized that my Stetson 10-gallon hat was suddenly missing.

I'm terribly regretful for my tardiness today, as am I equally apologetic for the sudden speech impediment that occurred concurrently with said hat loss. The search will continue, high and low, here at the ranch. Dave, wishing you and Mrs. Margalotti safe journeys, and you a quick return amongst our ranks.

Now.. where is that blessed hat?!?

Suddenly missing since Marlon Brando was mentioned a few clues ago is CT, scanman, Ed, rosecity for a few hours, and me until now.

dmargalotti, enjoy the OTG (off the grid, if you prefer) time with the lovely mrs. dmargalotti.

CT, scanman, Ed, rosecity for a few hours, and me until now are amongst the missing again today so I'm making a rare early afternoon appearance to submit a contribution to get us moving along again in the proper direction (die-rection as some southerners prefer).

Come out, come out, wherever you are!!

The proper direction (die-rection, as some southerners prefer) is currently needed, down in Texas, to help me locate the headgear.

How could I ever possibly face my fellow Texans, without wearing a hat on my head and, on top of that, sounding like you guys??

Thank you, WMC, for a substantially superior ending clue to the previous offering from last evening. I couldn't play from your prior submission, because I am "rosecity". How would that have worked without possessing the necessary inspiration I need from that damned hat?

Speaking of which, when I find that inspiration, you and I are going to have a brief conversation about your lowercase "s" usage in Southerner.

The headgear is still missing so maybe someone should authorize one of HOSS's guys to head south for a couple of days to get a fresh set of eyes into the situation.

Now, if I was Game Czar, I would immediately send one of the security guys down there to jumpstart that investigation. Because I'm just that nice. Sadly, I am not authorized to do that, because I am not a Game Czar, so you'll have to deal with submitting a requisition to the elderly gents comprising the Board of Governors. They only work on Wednesdays from noon to 4pm and they tend to spend the first meeting on the subject discussing pros and cons so, if you are lucky, it might get authorized in a couple of weeks. Good luck with that.

A fresh set of eyes into the situation was all that was required to cause the Florida Chapter of the FWG Underground (FCFWGU as some prefer) to issue a proclamation stating that, at our own peril, "We, in the aforementioned FCFWGU, recognize that WMC2006 is official Game Czar of The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as most prefer)."

:devilish::devilish::devilish:
<heheheee....>
