Fantastic word game

Underwear is definitely not a frequent topic here at the Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as everyone knows I prefer) which means that subject should be right up CT's alley.

Well, it's been a gorgeous week here in sunny Florida. There will be a few new lovely young library interns joining the crew very soon.

And, the weekend is about here so that means another warm and sunny 80s Rockfest tomorrow night at the new Illusions. I'll be flying home at that time so join Dave, kenny and the Denny's-sponsored, permanently-guarded mechanical bull for a great time either in person or via the giant PowerWorld livestream. And join kenny early Sunday morning for some great grub at Denny's. Have a great weekend!!

Harmless contributors arrive here every day to submit their thoughts in the form of a well-written sentence.

I will get home late tonight. I'll be with you guys in spirit at the new Illusions.

Alas! he did cry,
Make the words more exciting
On this word game thread.

One damned long interweb word and sentence game, known around the world and around the block as the Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as most prefer), has recently inspired me to attempt posting the longest contribution ever, but to do so requires mentioning a (now-former) game czar, a plush corner office, interns (be they lovely, petite or from the library), TPS reports, band camp, the Lovely Olivia Newton-John (TLONJ as most prefer), the Head of Safety and Security (HOSS as we all prefer), the Director of Linguistics (DoL as educated people prefer), demerits, a mechanical bull, a barnyard ranch, cows, and the Freezer of Doom (FoD as most prefer).

I'm pretty sure I left someone or something out, and I'll probably hear about it.

A (now-former) game czar, a plush corner office, interns (be they lovely, petite or from the library), TPS reports, band camp, the Lovely Olivia Newton-John (TLONJ as most prefer), the Head of Safety and Security (HOSS as we all prefer), the Director of Linguistics (DoL as educated people prefer), demerits, a mechanical bull, a barnyard ranch, cows, and the Freezer of Doom (FoD as most prefer) is a pretty extensive list but you did forget to mention the 80s Rockfest, the new Illusions, topless driving, bottled water, the Board of Governors, RadioInfo, Radio-Info, Radio Discussions, Radio Insight, bolded clues, and the one-sentence rule.

Not bad, Mister Ed, not bad at all!! ;)

The 80s Rockfest, the new Illusions, topless driving, bottled water, the Board of Governors, RadioInfo, Radio-Info, Radio Discussions, Radio Insight, bolded clues, and the one-sentence rule take the current tiresome submission trend into a whole new dimension of dull.

Considering demerits to Ed for his "a barnyard ranch," which should be "a ranch barnyard," seeing as how the barnyard is (or was, as its proprietor has flown the coop) part of the ranch, and not vice versa.

Dull for you, CT, so why don't you start a new trend of clues and we'll do our best to follow along.

I mean, I'm having fun.

Follow along as I begin the process of taking my ending clue from contribution #54,110 and combining it with WMC's ending clue from contribution #54,111 and combine them in order to make the longest ending clue in TFWG history.

History? Isn't that the past? And isn't the past a function of time? Oh, look, it's another time-centric clue!! :ROFLMAO:

The longest ending clue in TFWG history belongs either to Mister Ed or Miss Silkie.

Someone else will have to do that research but Miss Silkie had some pretty gosh darned long clues in her time. Having said that, I might just have to give that honor to Mister Ed for his long-ass clue back in #54,110.

A normal person would choose to participate in the Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as I prefer) by submitting a contribution while other individuals are just scaredy-cat looky-loos.

Scaredy-cat looky-loos number in the thousands, maybe millions, so why not join us here at TFWG (as looky-loos should know I prefer) and have some fun with the English language.

CTListener, our Director of Linguistics (DoL as some prefer), will be happy to answer any questions whenever he decides to pop in here after first visiting the Word Game but not always coming here.
