That sounds pretty much like the lineup I would program as well. But I would add Tony Bristol in there somewhere. I'm definitely a fan of David Simpson for afternoon drive. That guy was awsome. 100 percent confidence in that voice. He was a shining example of someone who felt totally comfortable behind the Mic and it came across that way on the air. Good set of pipes too. It's not often that I would tune in a music station to hear the jock. But David Simpson was the exception. Lots of jocks tend to annoy me in one way or another. Either I don't like their voice or they get on air and blab about total crap. However Simpson never annoyed me in any way, shape or form. I wish he had been of the guys who stuck around Providence. I've missed hearing him ever since he left.

I would launch an Oldies Station that played music primarily from 1959-1974. There would be some newer stuffed mixed in for specialty shows for example an all 70s weekend Afternoon Show and perhaps a late nite weekend disco show. Also instead of having long-time experienced DJs I'd hire younger people who have an interest in working in radio be the DJs. (Believe it or not there are young people who still want to work in radio. Several friends around my age for example. This despite the fact I've told them, there's no money in it. And I really don't consider myself to be old. I'm 27).

From a listening point of view, I'd like to see a triple-A station in Providence but I don't think it would be successful so I'd go with classic rock. I want an intelligent sounding classic rocker though...not one where the jocks just talk about how much beer they drank the night before.
Mornings: Tad & Brian back again without the constraints they had at Coast
Middays: Amy Hagen
Afternoon drive: Carolyn Fox and Rick O'B
I'm out of money already after paying those salaries, so I'll have to do evenings and the overnight

I'd do something along the lines of what Chris D is doing in Westerly..local content, and treating staff as wise investments rather than costs of doing business.

I could go along with this one! Might want to sub Tyler/Big John for Doc Holiday. I think, uh Holland may have transitioned well to FM also.
