Farewell John Elliot from WTIC

Today longtime 96.5 WTIC FM Newsman John Elliot called it quits and ended his career of over 40 years at WTIC, most of it with Criag and Company.

At the end of the show they played the classic "Wake Up Hartford" song that they started the show with in the 80's, then Gary Craig cracked the mic to say goodbye and ended up breaking down crying. John Elliot then tried saying his goodbye started off sounding teary, but he made it through.

I know many in the Hartford area will miss him. Farwell John, all the best to you in your retirement!

I listened to him and Gary through the 80's and into the ninety's. I think for a brief time Craig went to WKSS.
