All together now:

Heaven just gained another "Angel."

Thoughts and prayers.

And Heaven just got a whole lot prettier too. ;)

I hear she was met at the Pearly Gates by Ed McMahon and a Hi-Yooooooooo. ;D

I think it's a shame, though, that the media seem
to be ignoring Farrah's death; it seems like "all
Michael, all the time," at least on CNN.

But then again, the death of one of the true
treasures of show business, Groucho Marx, was
practically ignored because it came three days
after Elvis died. And that, 1977, was a time when
there was considerable interest in Groucho.

Draw your own conclusions about the media's
priorities.

I find it hard to knock the media over this one. The fact is, Michael Jackson was a HUGE world wide star - one of the biggest in history really. Farrah seemed like a very nice lady - she was beautiful, and reasonably talented - but she never attained anything close to superstar status outside of that iconic wall-poster.

NPR did a nice 5 minute (or so) tribute on Farrah. Even on NPR though, there was much more Jackson coverage.

What was her actual birth name? Most sources say it was Farrah Leni, but one book I have claims it was Mary Farrah.
I happened to look at various language Wikipedias, but one language does say Mary Farrah Leni. English Wikipedia says Ferrah Leni.

I hate that poster. She's so much prettier in pictures where she's not trying to look sexy. Her hair and smile look better in those pictures too.

ironically enough, her funeral was held at Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral in L.A.! :)
