There's been rumors that he may go back to KLUV, any thoughts??

There have been rumors of a few stations interested in Fast Eddie, but the question is who and what shift? He has the name recognition and the talent to be a plus for two or three stations, and looking at the stations who are in trouble, they could sure use the help. He did a great job at Sunny considering his competition and the short time he had on the air. Sunny's numbers don't tell the whole story here. He's a market pro who shouldn't be out long.

By "trouble" I didn't mean to the point of format changes. The entire A/C picture is, to say the least, not doing very well. With Sunny now gone, it will surely help KLUV, KVIL, and Mix. Since Coyle just left CC, I doubt if he'd be going back there anytime soon, but a return to Infinity would certainly be a possibility.

Anyone thinking what I am thinking that KVIL could certainly use him in the MORNING DRIVE arena-- however I think that the current morning show is under a contract-- but I could be mistaken-- just thinking out loud-- and the other side of that would be.. could JACK FM go with a morning Jock-- Eddie could fit in that format-- don't you think?

Just a thought!

I'm sure the KVIL morning show is under contract, but you're right, Fast Eddie would certainly be a breath of fresh air. As far as JACK goes, if they decided to go with a morning talent at this point, I agree with you. That would also be a nice fit considering the fact that we all heard him play most of their music when he was on the CHR version of the Eagle when it was smokin' in the 80's.

"Fast Eddie" might be a good fit in afternoon drive at KVIL. I can't think of the girl's name that I heard doing afternoons last time I was up, but I wasn't impressed. KVIL just put Gene & Julie on in the mornings, so I doubt they would make a change there this soon. "Jack" might be an option, but I don't think it would be a good fit for him.

I'm sure "Fast Eddie" is probably still under contract with CC and will probably be out of action for awhile, but I do think he will wind up back with one of the Infinity stations. <P ID="signature">______________

I agree with your point. KVIl would definitely be a good fit for him in any daypart over there. KLUV could put him in,but it would be PT. KVIL is probably his destination. It's just a matter of time.

Mr. Murrow,

Good guess. I guess it's as good as your other predictions on here :)

Why "Fast"?

Why is he called "Fast"?

Maybe a take off on Fast Eddie Felson, the pool player. And it sounds better than calling him Slow Eddie Coyle. Radio folks are nimble of foot, quick of mind, and fast on the move.

If he's still under contract with CC, maybe he can save ZPS in the afternoons. His old KEGL afternoon drive spot. Move Mr. Magoo to midday. Magoo tries, but replacing JD was a big pair of boots to fill.
