Fastlane and ?

What happened to Scotty?! Didn't these guys just work a huge new contract deal only a couple of months back? And, although I don't listen to them regularly, Mr. Burns with his quick wit and offbeat humor were really all this show had going for it. He was fabulous with Charlie & Ty ("aaaaaaaas the producer!") and with Lisa Brink (?) on Young Country. Is he preparing for a hook-up with Maynard for a new KJR morning show? I know he and Maynard are both KJR alumni. But I'd think he would have a non-compete that would stretch out for a while here... anybody know what's up?!

I guess Mr. Burns didn't have a no-cut contract.

Yah, he's great in the production room, not so great live on the air where he can't do 30 takes.

I'd be very very surprised if he ended up at KJR...Rumor is that when Jay hired him at KBSG he really didn't want to. So he probably wouldn't hire him again.

That's just not true. I know what he's like to work with on the air and Scott is glib, quick, smart, fun, everything fastlane is not. Such a waste

Couple that with budget cuts....

Sad.

My guess is, it's the tip of the economic iceberg for entercom.

Difficult to imagine a no-cut clause in his contract. I doubt Entercom is saving much money - though they might buy Mr. Burns out. Every new guy has to mark his territory - and pissing on the office furniture is no longer acceptable.

If Coffey makes changes, he's condemned for it. If he doesn't make changes, he's condemned for it. Not fair...give him a couple of books and see how the dust settles. It's a tough format to move the needle...
