FATS DOMINO MISSING

Y

Guest
It's been reported that legendary pioneer rock and roll
hall of fame member, Fats Domino is missing in New orleans
in the aftermath of Katrina. The 77 year old singer stayed
behind with his family. Fats' first record, "The Fat Man"
released in 1950 is sometimes regarded as the first rock and
roll record.

They found him

A family member recognized him in a photo, being rescued. Too late for me to update my Wax Museum column for Friday, but at least I kept the situation open.
______________

"When whipperwill call, and evening his neigh, I hurry to my
blue heaven....a turn to the right, a little white light....
i'm happy in my................" morphing into some Fats now,
sorry, well at least some good news out of that place.

Bondage practices at BHT -- and The Yonk

Got a guy from BHT (the station, not the bread preservative) doing an in-house thingy at King's today, wearing the new BHT bondage uniform. I didn't know they were into that, but apparently it's "Bondage Radio" at that place. I tried not to stare. Either that, or he did something to his arm and it's a discreet sling. I'd prefer the bondage angle.

Anyway, he wants to know who this Yonkstur guy is. Says he should be on the air, he seems to know so much and sounds so hot about radio. I tried to explain who you were, but it's like having a front-row seat at the San Francisco earthquake. Words failed me.
______________

Did words fail you because of what an unbelievablely exhausting
and verbose broken down wind bag I am or was it the attire the
staffer from BHT was wearing? Don't tell me "both", this is like
"pregnant" or "not pregnant". no middle ground. He must be very
young, totally impressionable and might need to be tested if he
thinks all that about me. Hey, let's sell him a book. Special
bondage rate.

Been around. Worked at KIIS weekends.

drop by. I understand now.

And the funny thing is when I listen to the stuff that's on that
station, I might as well be tuned in to "Radio Mars". I do not
understand it. Instant Karma? Old Karma!!!!

Re: Bondage practices at BHT -- and The Yonk

Bondage? Now, that could spice up the interoffice gossip eh?

You break your shoulder not a month and a half after moving to NEPA and you get swept into the bondage category. I feel that it's all in good times, and if it is, this place has a strange way of saying hello.

Well, I clearly remember asking who you were, and stating a few times that you were well versed, but I am shocked to perhaps sense a little arrogance. You sir, have NO idea who I am. You say "young and totally impressionable"?

Yes on young and no. But isn't that the times of the business nowadays. Really, Radio Mars? We don't expect you to get it unless maybe you are a 20somthing female.

My radio career all be it less than 10 years, has taken me to some of the best places and provided the greatest lessons.

Is buying your book going to benefit what I do every afternoon?

Anyway, Hello Northeast PA radio board! Nice to be here.

An odd little market, this...

So, show up, read something about yourself that can be taken one of two ways both of which are obviously tongue-in-cheek, take umbrage and yourself too seriously then display attitude? Which of the best places and greatest lessons is that taken from?

Is buying his book going to affect what you do every afernoon? Just what is it you think you're doing every afternoon?

Here's a tip. No one is more impressed with were you've been and what you've learned than you. Unless you put any of it to use, see the chapter titled, "All Hat and No Cattle".

Less than ten years? Who could have guessed?

Relax. Take a deep breath. Unpack, but don't sign a mortgage agreement yet.

I would agree, but I've been so busy since arriving that I don't know the all news station.

HAHA I don't care! I am lucky enough to work at a place where all I need is the days paper and headphones. It is much less stressful than my last career I had

Damn! Let your hair down.

Thanks for the tip kiddo. I wasn't the one bragging bout where I was and have been. I'm here, and thats all that matters.

Yea, I did unpack. I do breath deep, because now I don't worry about smog...and if you have some sound morgage advice, hit me with an e-mail.

Re: Bondage practices at BHT -- and The Yonk

You know, if you two (B the BHT jock) and The Yonk met in real life, you'd love each other. And BHT, don't tell Yonk to let his hair down; Mother Nature did that some time ago. :)
______________

Ouch, how in the heck did you break your shoulder? I

I'm well versed because I'm old and remember way too much
for my own good. Arrogant? I'm too poor and funny looking to
be arrogant. Now if I were dating Gina Davis.....then I'd be
very arrogant.
You sir, have NO idea who I am. You say "young and totally impressionable"?

Please share them with the rest of this board. Don't forget,
we are the same people who had 24 plus posts on Buffalo Bills
football so tell us your stories.

Yes. Yes. Yes. You can read it when you play a long record,
(I'd like to see M&M (okay Emienien) do a rap version of
McCarthur Park), use it as a doorstop or use it to swat
away all those twenty something females you meet at the
Sneaker King or Tinks remotes. Just give us old guys the
left over phone numbers. (I can just see me and McAndrews in
my Sebring driving down Rt 6 with two of them and someone saying,
"Is it Take Your Grandaughter to work day today?"
